Private Appleton Estate Rum and YS Waterfalls is a combination of Jamaica's cultural history mixed with the natural beauty of the country's vibrant eco system.
A 1-1/2-2-hour scenic drive across the island through the mountains and along the shoreline, takes you on a journey to the south coast for this amazing day tour. Enjoy the walking tour of one of Jamaica's oldest rums producing factory while sipping on cocktails, sampling byproducts of sugar cane, 3 different types of rums, touring the entire facility and more. Afterwards, spend the rest of your time immersed in nature and enjoy the cool, refreshing fresh river water at the YS Falls.
Entrance tickets to both attractions included. Time spent at Appleton: Approximately 2-hour. Time spent at YS Falls: Approximately 2-hour

The Joy Spence Appleton Estate Rum Experience
A guided 2-hour tour of the estate beginning with short film on the rum making process featuring the only female master blender Joy Spence, before stepping outside to visit all the stations that takes you back in time to see the process back then, while sampling by-products of sugarcane. A short walk-through of the factory is next, then the aging house, the tasting room for sampling of 3 different rums, before ending the tour in the gift shop, where you can buy rums and other souvenir.
YS Falls
A visit to one of Jamaica's best kept secrets, the YS Waterfalls for up-close experience with nature. A 1-hour tour begins with a short ride in an open-aired bus or jitney, across the open fields passing cattle and horses with their young, huge century old trees and lots of flora and fauna, to the beautiful grounds of the falls and park. Take a guided tour of this 7-tired waterfalls and enjoy the fresh river water. Rope swing, jump from a platform above, or just find spot and swim or just relax in the water. there is zipline activities available (not included in the cost).

5.00This was an Island Routes trip and it involved seeing natural waterfalls and swimming in the pools and spending time in the souvenir shop at YS Falls. The falls is on a cattle farm. From there the adventure continues at the Appleton Rum estate. A tour guide takes you are the factory and shows you how to make rum. Also learn some history of Black River and the role rum plays in the economy. Really good excursion and rum tasting.

5.00The Appleton Rum Estate tour was great! Learned alot about the history of Appleton rum while getting to enjoy a tour of the factory and a complimentary tasting of the various rums made onsite. Our tour guide Keyon was fun and knowledgeable.
YS Falls was awesome, except for the fact that we got rained out! More like deterred due to lightening. We did manage to make it up to the top and get across a few of the walkways before getting out of the water.
Our tour driver, Patrick of VIP Tours was amazing! He was extremely professional and courteous while also being knowledgeable and friendly. Made the long day an easy one. His professionalism exceeded our expectations so much that we rebooked him for another tour 2 days later!

5.00Very enjoyable day! Long drive, but time at each place was not rushed. Omar, our driver, was very friendly and accommodating. YS Falls are beautiful...much more quiet and private than other more widely known falls.
