Driver on time, very polite. Everything ran smoothly he sent a picture of himself and the license plate number so I could know it was him. Allowed me to use WiFi will ride in progress. He was very nice, I will be scheduling a ride back to airport when it’s time for me to leave.

Recently, I traveled solo to Barranquilla, Colombia and wanted private transport from the airport to my room at the Four Points by Sheraton. I prefer this instead of rolling the dice on a taxi that may or may not be legitimate. Booking through Viator gave me peace of mind since their companies are vetted and the reviews are public. I chose Gran Colombia Tours because they fit my budget and had a good rating. I booked a one-way ride since I usually take an Uber to the airport for my return trip home. The first thing that impressed me was how much communication I received after I reserved my ride. I got immediate confirmation in the TripAdvisor app and on WhatsApp from Gran Colombia Tours as soon as I booked. Close to my trip, they told me who my driver would be and gave me the make, model and license plate number for his vehicle. Gerardo Prada, my driver, reached out the day before my trip and a few times on travel day to keep me updated. Because Gerardo knew my landing time, soon after, he guided me through the airport with photos and even sent a picture of himself holding a sign with my name so there was no chance of confusion. When I came out of Customs, he was right there in the front row on the walkway, so I spotted him instantly and didn’t have to scan the crowd. It was the easiest pickup I’ve ever had, and I travel internationally a lot. Gerardo helped with my bags and parked close by, so we were on our way in no time. During the ride to the hotel, which took about 30 minutes, he acted as a bonus tour guide, telling me about all the changes the city underwent since I last visited Barranquilla around 20 years ago. He offered me water and made sure the air conditioning was set exactly right to my preference. Gerardo started playing American style music, but I told him since I was in Colombia, I wanted to hear local tunes. He switched to a great station and even played my Spanish language song requests, which I loved. When we got to the hotel, Gerardo helped me to the door with my bags, and we said goodbye. He was so pleasant and professional that when I needed to book a private car a few days later for an hour of specific sightseeing, I texted him. He organized everything with his colleague Juan, since he wasn’t available at that time. Juan was also friendly, professional and attentive to my requests. Gerardo’s professionalism and punctuality changed my mind about taking an Uber back to the airport. I booked Gran Colombia Tours again a week later and asked specifically for Gerardo. He arrived early and was just as friendly as before. On the way back he shared even more history about Barranquilla that I really appreciated. I can’t say enough good things about Gerardo Prada and Gran Colombia Tours. If you want a reliable, safe ride to or from the airport or a private car for anything during your stay in Barranquilla, look no further. They were exceptional and I’ll definitely use them again next time I’m in town.

Booked through viator and had no issues. Our driver helped us get to and from the airport easily - the car was air conditioned and clean. The driver Gerardo was very responsive and accommodating with our numerous flight and travel delays. I booked for myself and for friends on separate flights. We used him for both our arrival and departure transportation. Direct communication with the drive via WhatsApp made everything seamless. Would recommend this for airport transport especially if you are going during high traffic hours as it can otherwise take a while to get a regular taxi. Absolutely worth the cost for the security of getting to the airport on time.

Book this service to expedite my transfer from the airport to the hotel and not have to worry, it is a great option as many times using yellow taxis is more stressful. They communicated very well and were very reliable. We had no trouble making arrangements, finding the driver, everything worked out perfect.

Excellent service, if you visit Barranquilla is a great option and very safe, I will definitely use it again as I will be returning for work reasons, the vehicle in excellent condition and very clean, the driver with very good presentation, gave me the exact meeting point where I would be waiting, there I found it, it was very punctual and I wait with a notice with my name that was excellent help!

Traveling into Barranquilla unsure of how I’d move around in unfamiliar territory of this particular airport I chose this service to lessen any confusion on my part. I didn’t have any over the top expectations, and I also chose this service based on trip advisor’s listing. It would have been a “5” but hey nothing is perfect. Confusion in exact meeting pick-up spot. I also thought it was some use of english as I also thought I’d be met with the sign and my name to assist from there. Not a deal breaker of course and I did make my way out and the ride was different due to my inexperience of the traffic and drivers of Columbia. 👀 Needless to say I arrived at my destination. The young man was both accommodating, pleasant, and professional
