Experience St. Lucia's North Eastern coastline on a private, eco-friendly horseback tour. Explore two undeveloped beaches along forested and open trails, immersing yourself in the island's unspoiled nature. This tour is suitable for all skill levels, whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider. For the well-being of the horses, a weight limit of 220lbs per rider is enforced. Your personal guide will lead you through natural landscapes, ensuring your comfort and sharing insights about the area. For those interested, there's an optional opportunity to ride your horse into the ocean, provided sea conditions are calm. However, this may be affected by Sargassum seaweed, a natural occurrence in the Caribbean since 2011, which varies with the tide. As an outdoor activity, be prepared for possible rain during the tour. If dangerous weather is forecasted, we will contact you to reschedule. Your guide will provide water and take as many photos as you'd like. St. Lucia's climate includes a rainy season (June to December) with wet conditions, and a dry season (January to May) with drier trails but less greenery.

5.00Bucket list ✔️🩵🐴 Last week, my husband indulged me and agreed to go horseback riding in St. Lucia. I have always wanted to ride in the ocean, and Sandy Hoofs St. Lucia made my dreams come true! 🌊 This was thd best riding experience I have ever had on vacation. I own a horse and have been riding for years, and told them at booking that I was an advanced rider but my husband was not; Sandy Hoofs matched me with Altalanta who was a perfect princess - from galloping down the beach to heading straight into the waves, she was so much fun! Dylan rode Coastal who was a perfect gentleman, even when I took off down the beach. Our guide Jesse was a total gem; he talked to us about horses on the island, was so kind and knowledgeable, and let me do my own thing once it was clear I could ride. Beyond getting to swim with Altalanta in the Atlantic, it was obvious that the Sandy Hoofs horses were so well loved and cared for, which is HUGE for me (especially when riding in other countries). 10/10, best time ever, cannot recommend Sandy Hoofs St. Lucia enough!

4.00The 1 hour ride is very beginner, walking only and the guide walked, didn’t ride his own horse. Wear clothes that dry fast or better yet just wear a bathing suit in the water and have extra clothes to put back on.

5.00Absolutely brilliant. Our host Jordan was very friendly, took us along a nice track to two beaches then let us go in the water with the horses. He took our phones and got some brilliant photos too. Horses look really well looked after. Would 100% reccomend.

5.00We took a private horseback riding tour with Sandy Hoofs and it was so much fun! The horses were gentle so the ride was comfortable. The guides walked beside us to lead the horses down the trail to the beach. Beautiful views during the ride! Highly recommend this excursion!

5.00This was an incredible experience, and a lifelong dream ticked off my bucket list! For context, I worked with horses for 12 years and spent a lot of my job ensuring the best welfare. We found fabulous reviews about this stables and it did not disappoint. It was so clear to me how well loved these horses are; this stables have a clear weight limit for each horse (unlike others), they are well fed & watered and have every Sunday off for respite to run on the beach and do as they please. The horses were well trained and looked after their riders well. I loved every single minute and cannot thank our guide, Alpha, enough. He loves his horses with his whole being and gave us an insight into his paradise.

5.00Great experience! Very professional (even down to hygiene net to wear under helmet) - yet so friendly. I’m pretty much a novice, but my wife has done a fair amount of riding over the years. We felt the place was well run, and the horses well cared for. Then there’s the ride - wonderful. Right down to the palm trees at the sea edge - and then into the sea! Our comfort and safety was on the check list all the time. I don’t write many reviews, but this place was so good. Special thanks to our guide Stefan (and my horse Atalanta).

2.00It was fun until I fell off the horse on a very stoney path as it got spooked by a wild donkey. This apparently only happens twice a year but it was extremely painful and the guide had no first aid training which I would think would be essential for horse riding.
