Lama Temple (Yonghegong)
Your private guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby at 9:00 a.m. After a 20-minute drive, you will reach the Lama Temple. Hailed as one of the city’s most famous monasteries, the temple boasts five opulent halls replete with colorful carvings, sacred objects and detailed murals. Follow your guide through the impressive labyrinth and learn about the cultural significance of the enormous Maitreya Buddha, a statue that stands 18 meters above ground.
Temple of Confucius and Guozijian Museum
Then walk about 5 minutes to the Confucius Temple. A quiet sanctuary away from the smoggy streets of Beijing, the restored main hall of this temple contains a statue of the sage Kongzi (Confucius). It is the second largest Confucian Temple in China, after the sanctuary in Confucius’ hometown of Qufu.

5.00It was a very interstingand engaging tour. Sally did know a lot about the diffrent temples. Out of respect i did not do a lot of fotos. If you like to know about the diffrent religions in China, i highly recommend this tour. The food was really tasty. Our driver was really nice and brought us safely everywhere we wanted to go. During lunch, we decided to do something else instead of the tea ceremony, as i had allready done it in another tour. We went to see a local Pearl expert. It was intersting to see, how pearls are made.

5.00Fascinating tour of three temples representing Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism. Great lunch at a local restaurant where we experienced the food of our guide's youth, which is exactly what we wanted. Tea ceremony was a bit rushed, as if the presenter was more interested in getting us to the gift shop than teaching us about the importance of tea in Chinese culture; however, it did not take away from a wonderful day of touring and learning about these philosophies.
