Sorrento Coast

The Sorrento Coast is a jagged promontory that shores up the southern end of the Bay of Naples. This peninsula of hilly terrain ends abruptly at a cliff that plunges sheerly down to the Mediterranean sea. The entire coastline around Sorrento was a Greek colony during the period of Magna Grecia, the legendary site of Homer's sirens, before being conquered by the Romans who enjoyed the area as a summer playground. It has maintained a reputation as an exclusive resort destination ever since. It boasts a mild climate, gorgeous panoramas and citrus-scented air. From the Sorrento Coast, views sweep along the bay to Naples, Mount Vesuvius and across the water to the island of Capri. Sunset is especially stunning from the point of Massa Lubrense, Faro, or one of the coves below the cliffs on the promontory's edge. On the Sorrento coast you'll find tucked-away bays, deep gorges, sandy sunbathing spots and hilltop hamlets.

The Baths of the Queen Joan are located on the promontory of Punta Capo in Sorrento, to be precise they are located on the coast of the Protected Marine Area of Punta Campanella. It is a magnificent natural swimming pool just a few steps from the center of Sorrento, a small natural oasis. The Baths are also an archaeological site characterized by history and nature, the remains of the villa of Pollio Felice are surrounded by a crazy sea and crystal clear water.

Outstanding day trip. We had the privilege of having Fernando and Pepe as our crew members, both were extremely friendly and informative had a stop along the way for a swim and also on our return trip from Capri. Would highly recommend and try to request your booking with these two at the helm you definitely won't be disappointed.

Restart and Antonio delivered. We had a fabulous day. We planned a custom itinerary to leave our hotel in Sorrento with luggage and a full day on the water. We visited the Sorrento coast, all of Capri, lunch in Nerano and finally a grand entrance into Positano. This is definitely the way to travel from Sorrento to Positano or any of the other cities. The captain and crew were so accommodating. What put a huge smile on my face was that my kids were posting immediately on Instagram our photos from the boat trip. Thank you Restart for a fabulous day. Hotel Rivera recommended then and they did not disappoint. Five stars.

Beautiful day! Fabiano and Alessia are the perfect hosts to this special place. Capri is incredibly beautiful,but their knowledge & warm hospitality made a five-star day even better! Serving us Prosecco & limoncello after a swim in the Med was a bucket list experience! Gracie Mille per tutti!! We will return soon!!

The boat and crew were top notch! Fabiano and Alessa were attentive to our needs and great your guides with intimate knowledge of the area and where the best spots to go to eat and swim, which avoided the crowds. Can’t recommend their team enough!

We had an amazing tour to Capri with Fabiano and his team! They were so professional and personable. We loved how knowledgeable they were about the area and they even arranged a wonderful lunch for us right on the shore! We had a multigenerational group and everyone loved it. They stopped at swimming spots and caves for the kids and the boat was amazing to relax on, new and modern! We would recommend Restart to everyone and are so glad that our travel agent worked with this company!!!

We visited Sorrento in May and decided to rent a private boating experience through Restart Boat tours. Their service was incredible and very professional. Our Captain, Francesco was amazing and took us to all over the island of Capri and we were able to see all of the best sites. We had free time to eat lunch and explore the city of Anacapri. Highly recommend this outstanding company. Thank you for making our honeymoon special - this was the highlight of the trip.
