This private one-day tour focuses on the main highlights of Chengdu city. You will see China's national treasure, giant pandas in their natural habitat. After that you will stroll along ancient alleys and admire the historical Jinsha Site Museum. This tour will start early in the morning so that you can watch pandas at their most exciting time, during their daily breakfast feeding.

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
Your tour starts at 8:00am, when your guide and driver pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. You will first visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, as the pandas are very active in the morning. There you will see lovely furry giant pandas of all ages eating and playing with each other. You will also have a chance to see the very cute baby pandas, as well as documents and pictures showing how these little pink mouse-size animals grow into giant white and black chubby pandas of over 220 lbs (100kg).
Kuanzhai Alley
You will then proceed to Broad and Narrow Alleys. It is really fun to stroll along the ancient street lined with many old houses and some newly-built ones with a traditional style. You will have your lunch here (own expense), and you can ask for your guide's advice on where to eat.

5.00I am an American and booked a 20-day private tour (just my family of 4) directly with Travel China Guide. Beijing-Xi’an-Chengdu-Zhangjiajie-Guangzhou-Hong Kong. This review is for my time in Chengdu with our fantastic guide Charles! Charles was always prompt, responsible, thoughtful and professional. Our transfer from the train station was perfect! He coordinated our activities perfectly. His knowledge and expertise on the various sites was deep and meaningful. He knows the panda reserve like the back of his hand, and how to bypass the crowds. Charles was also great with my 10 and 13 year old children. He would help us order our food in restaurants and talked to shop employees for purchases. He is a self proclaimed “foodie”. He knows all the best restaurants and dishes. I would definitely recommend Charles and Travel China Guide to my friends traveling to Chengdu. Also, Wendy coordinated my entire 20 -day trip and answered my many emails over a 10-month period promptly and professionally. Wendy is amazing too!!

5.00We had an amazing Private Chengdu Day Tour with our wonderful guide, Bella! She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We started the day visiting the adorable Giant Pandas — definitely the highlight of the trip! Then we explored the fascinating Jinsha Site Museum and learned so much about Chengdu’s history. Bella also took us to the peaceful People’s Park, where we tasted authentic local tea and soaked in the relaxed atmosphere. Finally, we walked through the lively KuanZhai Alley, full of local snacks and culture. Every part of the day was perfectly organized — thank you, Bella, for making our Chengdu visit unforgettable!

5.00Joy was a wonderful tour guide. She spent two days showing us the Panda Breeding facility, the LeShan Giant Buddha, and Chengdu. She is kind, knowledgeable, charming, and tremendous fun. We could not have asked for a better guide.

5.00Charles was knowledgeable and enthusiastic which made the trip the highlight of our China trip. He showed us a less busy route and so we managed to navigate the crowds as much as we could. I would recommend Charles for everyone visiting Chengdu and his English was excellent that he even taught me something!

5.00If you are in Chengdu everyone knows you have to see the pandas! However, not everyone knows the best way to see them. Our private tour with guide Charles was more than we could have dreamed of. Charles was very knowledgeable about the base and of course the pandas. He was able to take us on the best route for the maximum panda experience, avoiding the masses while getting us the good spots for viewing. He was super patient while we took millions of photos and even showed us some camera phone tips to get the best results. Charles was phenomenal. He was professional, smart, helpful, friendly and engaging. He also had an amazing sense of humor. We would highly recommend this tour with Charles - he, and the tour made our day!. He’s one of the best as was Mr Leo - our driver.

5.00No visit to China is complete without seeing pandas, but this tour offers far more than that, including a visit to the famous People's Park with its matchmaking market and tea, as well as Du Fu's cottage, a serene monument to China's most celebrated poet. Anyone interested in Chinese literature and lifestyle will enjoy this trip, especially with the inclusion of fuzzy pandas! Tour guide Joy was spectacular and really brought the city to life.

5.00It was a great 4 days 3 nights private tour to Chengdu. I had a good time and i am very thankful for the excellent service and help from my guide (Joy) and driver (Mr. Xie) who had been assist me especially with my mom comfortability as she is on wheelchair. Love the cold and fresh air in Chengdu. My tour guide explain it very well to make the each places that we visited interesting and it very informative from culture, history and traditions. The trip to Giant Pandas Base well of course is unforgettable especially to see all the cute pandas. All the food are delicious. Most of all the places that i have visited are convenient if we come with elderly and wheelchair accessible. This is the second time i came to China with the same agency and the overall service is beyond my expectations from the planning with the agent (Emily) and the service provided from beginning of the tour until the end. Highly recommended.
