HBO series Chernobyl was filmed in a Vilnius one of the sleeping quarters – Fabijoniškės. During the tour you will visit Fabijoniskes as well as other filming sites and learn about soviet life as well as Chernobyl catastrophe.
The town of Pripyat (‘peaceful atom’), created in the late sixties to service the plant, was built during few decades as the symbol of a friendship between the soviet nations. Most of the Soviet republics had their town districts built by then. That is why the series were shot in Vilnius quarter Fabijoniskes that served as an example of Pripyat.
One of the most-visited museums in Lithuania is an actual KGB prison and still has its KGB cells and torture chambers intact. The original pieces of furniture where prisoners were held were used in the shooting of the series. We will end our tour at the KGB building, so you will be able to visit it on your own.

5.00Domas our guide was great, picked us up on time, nice vehicle and safe driver. He is very knowledgeable about the filming of the Chernobyl tv show, but also Lithuanian history. We learned so much. He also accompanied us for part of or visit to the Museum of Occupation and Freedom, this was such a bonus as it put many of the exhibits into perspective. A great tour and worth every penny

5.00WOW! What an experience! My wife and I booked two private tours which included a tour to Trakai Castle and separate and apart, transportation from Vilnius, Lithuania to Riga, Latvia with stops at Hill of the Crosses and Rundale Palace. For those of you who plant to travel to the Baltics, I strongly recommend including these two UNESCO World Heritage sites. Additionally, I would strongly recommend going with Avitalis who operates FeelZCity Tours out of Vilnius. Avitalis coordinated a FLAWLESS tour which also included a private guide who walked us through Rundale Palace and shared the amazing history of this gem of a site. What was so special with FeelZCity was Avitalis allowed me to tailor our full day of traveling to my specifications including the MB V Class which i reserved for the day. I cannot thank Avitalis and FeelZCity Tours nore for making our tour one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had. AND!!! Avitalis provided our tour at a price that was beyond our expectations!
