  If you want to understand La Paz in a single, well-executed day, this is the tour to book. We did a private city tour that included the cable cars and Moon Valley, and it delivered exactly what we were hoping for: a comprehensive, intelligently paced overview of the city’s must-see highlights. Rolando was our guide, and he was excellent. He brought a strong depth of knowledge about La Paz — its history, political context, culture, and geography — and presented it in a way that felt both structured and conversational. He moved at a very good pace: efficient but never rushed. What stood out most was how well he adapted to our interests. When we wanted to go deeper on certain topics, he accommodated that. When we were ready to move on, he read that too. That flexibility matters on a private tour. His English, while not perfect, was absolutely adequate with an attentive ear. With just a bit of patience on both sides, communication was smooth and never detracted from the experience. The substance of what he shared more than compensated — he is genuinely a wealth of knowledge. The cable cars were a highlight. Riding above La Paz gives you a completely different perspective of the city — the scale, the topography, the density — it’s visually dramatic and surprisingly moving. It’s not just transportation; it’s an experience in itself. Moon Valley was equally memorable. The landscape feels otherworldly and provides a striking contrast to the urban energy of the city. Seeing both in one day reinforces just how geographically unique La Paz is. This tour really functions as a “catch-all” for the essential La Paz experiences. You could visit the city without doing this tour — but you would leave without the context and perspective that make the city make sense. It’s an efficient, high-value way to orient yourself and deepen your appreciation. Our only minor critique: the tour ended in the market without arranged transportation back to our hotel. It wasn’t a major issue — we did some shopping, had lunch, and grabbed a very affordable Uber — problem solved. Still, having an optional transportation add-on (even at an additional cost) would improve the close of the experience. Overall, this was a very strong private tour, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting La Paz. Rolando delivered a thoughtful, informative, and engaging day that gave us real insight into the city.

  Amazing tour experience. Juan was very prompt with communication of the tour details even when I booked it just 24hrs or so prior. I went to every location listed on the itinerary- this tour is very well organized to hit the main highlights of La Paz in one day for those crunched for time. My actual tour guide, Daniel Edwin, was wonderful. He met me at my hotel and gave many, fantastic cultural insights and information throughout the entire day in excellent English. He is so, so knowledgeable explaining everything- the city, the cable cars, and we even went inside one of the witch shops so he could explain the wares inside. Daniel always offered and was a great help to taking photos of me just how I wanted. He also helped me exchange my USD for BOB at the street vendors he personally knew which net me an exchange rate higher than the official- this was really, really appreciated. Browsing the markets, Daniel even helped me with gauging fair price points for different qualities of ponchos because I was interesting in getting one. I can’t say enough nice things about my experience.

  This private tour in La Paz with Jhon was one of the most beautiful moments of my trip. From the very beginning, Jhon created a warm and professional atmosphere. His English is excellent, very clear and natural, which makes the explanations fluid and exciting. He not only shows the places, he tells their story with incredible precision, explaining every detail, every context and every anecdote. You immediately feel that he has a perfect grasp of his subject. But beyond knowledge, what really makes a difference is the love he has for his job. It is seen and felt in his gaze, in his energy and in his way of transmitting. Moreover, Jhon is extremely patient, always smiling, attentive and very professional. He takes the time, adapts to the pace and answers all questions with enthusiasm. And besides being an exceptional guide, he is an incredible photographer! He knows the best angles, perfect light and ideal perspectives. I leave with absolutely beautiful photos, worthy of a professional. I would also like to thank the driver whose driving was also impeccable: careful, gentle and reassuring. I felt totally confident throughout the morning. It wasn’t just an excursion, it was a wonderful experience that far exceeded all my expectations. In La Paz, there is no doubt: Jhon is the guide for you!.   This tour allows you to see the key points of La Paz. Everything is included: transportation by car to the Valley of the Moon, entrance to the Valley of the Moon, the 4 cable cars (which allow you to see several places in the city), and a visit to the historic center. Our guide, Roxane, was very pleasant and spoke good English. Ideal when you only stay 1 day at La Paz.

  Loved the walk in Moon Valley. Daniel was great! He gave us lots of information all morning! We learned so much! Explored La Paz using the different gondola rides. We would highly recommend this tour

  A lovely way to see all the highlights!. Roxana was my guide. She speaks proficient English and she was easy to understand. I arrived in the morning in La Paz and took the afternoon tour. I am healthy and in good shape, and I knew the altitude would affect me, but even I needed a few rest breaks, which Was surprising because the tour is not strenuous at all. There is a good mix of sitting and walking. So keep in mind the altitude adjustment if you arrive same day as I did. Roxana Was great with providing lots of rest breaks and checking on me, she also did an excellent job taking pictures. This tour is a great way to see a lot A Paz at once and then return later to further explore. I also enjoyed Roxana as a tour guide. Recommended!
