  The tour itself was fun, enjoyable, educational, and a great way to start our trip in La Paz. This private tour was definitely preferred over others because we went at our own pace without being rushed, had plenty of room in the transportation, saved time by avoiding the multiple pickups/drop-offs of a group tour, and were better able to share dialogue with the guide. Our guide Daniel was awesome! He was very thorough and provided us with a lot of information from both a historical perspective up until how things are today. We would highly recommend this tour!

  Roxana was a great guide with great knowledge, we really enjoyed the private tour around Valle de la Luna & La Paz and learned a lot about the city, it’s history, food, buildings, etc. - five hours went by super fast. We warmly recommend this tour.

  

  

  

  

• La paz in short time

  What you need to know and they won't tell you, is there are two mitru hotels in the city, they won't verify they will just think you should know even though you don't live here. After starting an hour late it all went off well, I think it is a good price, and good service.

  Just been on a private day tour of La Paz with tour leader Jhon. Great walk around Moon Valley, numerous cable cars with views of the spectacular city, walking around the Historic Centre & finishing at Witches Market. Great over sight of La Paz. Highly recommend Jhon as your leader 😁

  This tour was awesome!! Our guide Santiago was incredibly helpful, informative, and kind, and his English was great. For those wondering what was involved: we were picked up from the hotel and taken to Valley of the moon first, where our driver stayed and waited for us. Valley of the moon was absolutely stunning, and we had the luck to see two vizcachas (the grumpy looking rabbit thing)! There were quite a few stairs both up and down along the path, but you could choose to take the full path or a shorter one, and there were a couple of places to sit along the way, including a shaded lookout. Santiago gave us really interesting information about the history and culture of the area and allowed time to rest whenever needed. There are also bathrooms near the entrance to the park. After the valley we drove to one of the cable car stations, which took us all the way up to El Alto. Tickets were included and the views were phenomenal, with the ride lasting about 15 min. Up the top we switched to another cable car line to see more of El Alto, and heard more interesting information about the neighbourhood. Then we took another cable car down, which went over a fascinating cemetery. We walked from there down a very historical colonial street and to the presidential square, and heard more history along the way. Lastly we walked a few blocks to the witches' market and Santiago taught us about some rituals for luck, them pointed out nearby lunch recommendations before the tour ended. He also welcomed us to send him a message with any questions we might have about La Paz. Overall this tour is very worthwhile, and not physically strenuous at all except for a few sets of stairs at VotM. Just make sure to bring water and sunscreen and a camera!! Many many thanks to Santiago for this terrific experience.

  

  

  

• Very Unpleasant Experience

  First, we felt we were being rushed. Second, the tour was specified as a private tour with cable car tickets and transportation. But the tour guide Rolando dropped us at Witches Market and told us we had to go back by ourselves, which shocked us because it was 7:00 and dark outside. We attended so many tours sold by Viator and all sent us back to our starting points - our hotels. None dropped us at the center of nowhere. This is our first visit here. We even had hard time getting a taxi. La Paz was not a very safe city at night. We spent extra 50Bs to take a taxi to go back to the hotel. We felt Rolando shortchanged this experience. If the description were not including the transportation as described, we would not have booked this tour. We hope Viator will check ethics of local tour operators in the future.

  It was the best tour I did during my trip. I felt like I was touring the city with my best friend. Amazing vibe, amazing time. I would recommend this tour to everyone. :)
