Our city tour takes you through Constance in an entertaining and lively, funny and exciting, yet informative way. We will open your eyes to the secrets and treasures of the beautiful medieval Council city and introduce you to personalities who have been involved here.

We have been on thousands of guided city tours in Constance for 30 years, know every corner of it and know countless anecdotes.

Children from 4 years of age and young people experience the medieval Council City in an age-appropriate way. Senior citizens are welcome, especially we offer older guests seating to take a leisurely approach to the city tour.

There is unlimited access everywhere for disabled people and strollers, and for the visually impaired we design our city tour according to the needs.

Please note that guided tours in the old town of Konstanz are only possible on foot.

This guided city tour takes place by appointment only. Please let us know your individual desired date (date, time).

The start time after 18:00 is possible, but then neither the Konstanz Minster nor the Rosgartenmuseum can be visited, as they close already at 18:00

On Sundays and church holidays, the cathedral cannot be visited before 11:30 a.m. as services are held

Constance Harbour

Our humorous, yet very informative city tour, during which you get to know the past and present of the historic Lake Constance metropolis, starts at the port in Constance. Our guides will introduce you to the courtesan Imperia and tell you what happened during the world event of the Council, which took place from 1414-1418. Continue through the picturesque center of Konstanz's old town, passing imposing buildings and adorable townhouses, which often look back on an almost 1,000-year building history. On a short tour of the cathedral of Constance, the former Episcopal Church, you will learn a lot of history from the past of Constance from our guide. Our tour ends after about 2 hours at the market place in Konstanz. The square is located in the heart of the old town and invites you to relax in a cosy café, take a snack or stroll through the many original boutiques.

Here at the corner of Hohenhausgasse/Oberer Fischmarkt stands the "Hohe Haus". It dates back to 1194 - supposedly it was built from top to bottom... Look forward to the stories of our guide who are related to this house!

We had booked a guided city tour in Konstanz for our company outing at See-Guide. The tour was great, we had a lot of fun and learned a lot about the city of Konstanz "a city in Thurgau" that we did not know before, although we all know Konstanz, as we live in Thurgau. We can therefore only recommend the tours and wish the lake guide team all the best and many nice guests! We will come back!

After careful consultation and scheduling, Ms. Grossmann simply "forgot" our group of 23 people. She didn't come to the meeting point, no phone call, nothing. Instead of an apology, she made insulting comments and a whole host of excuses. Nobody should put themselves through that. There are numerous good city guides that are offered alternatively through the city's tourist information office. Ms. Grossmann was thrown out a few years ago for good reason. If only we had known that beforehand!
Great tour, we will be back!

Constance is a beautiful city, but it is better accessible with a guided city tour. We booked for our company outing at See-Guide Konstanz and did not regret it! We chose the mural guide among the many themes. For almost 2 hours, our guide Sylvia led us in a good mood and peppered with many anecdotes through the beautiful old town of Constance. We didn't think there was so much to discover!! The Imperia (!), the Minster, the very old old town, which you can not easily discover otherwise, we really had a lot to marvel at and to look at!
