• Definitely worth the visit - stunning views

  We visited the Cliffs of Moher yesterday, despite some grim early weather, and are so glad we took the chance. Arriving around 10:15am, the rain was still lingering, so we started with a hot coffee and scone at one of the on-site cafés. It turned out to be the perfect decision — the rain cleared while we warmed up, leaving us with a bright, cloud-dappled day (though the wind certainly reminded us we were on the Atlantic coast). The walking tracks to both the left and right of the main viewing area are excellent, offering stunning cliff views from different angles. They’re well maintained, easy to walk, and provide countless photo opportunities from a variety of vantage points. Entry is via a parking area where you pay for both parking and access to the cliffs. Booking online beforehand is definitely worthwhile — we saved €8 by doing so. From there, it’s a short walk across the road to the visitor centre, which is impressively built into the hillside. Inside you’ll find two cafés, a gift shop, and a well-presented historical exhibition. The Cliffs of Moher are absolutely worth visiting if you’re in the Galway or Limerick area, both roughly 1.5 hours away.   Had a wonderful private tour with Fergus that was filled with beautiful sites, great conversation, and a healthy dose of laughs and banter over our 7-8 hours together. My mom, wife and I could not have asked for a better experience or host. We thank Fergus for sharing a fun day with us and showing us the natural beauty of western Ireland!

  We used Connemara Chauffeurs for our trip to Galway and they were amazing. Soran picked us up at the airport and took us for the tour of the Cliffs of Moher and Burren Region. And we had Fergus another day take us to the Connemara region. They were both very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend this company and we would definitely use them on our next trip back to Ireland.

  Patrick was our tour guide for my family of six's amazing trip to the Cliffs of Moher from Galway. Pat was very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. It was nice to have someone who was local and knew the area so well doing the driving and taking such good care of us for the day. We had a great time with Pat, who planned our itinerary for us and made sure we had enough time to visit each site. We saw some not to be missed attractions and beautiful scenery on our first trip to Ireland. Visited the Oranmore Castle site, Kinvara Pier, Hazel Mountain Chocolate shop in the beautiful Burren Hills area, Corcomroe Abbey and saw many other castles in the distance as well as amazing landscape all before our visit to the Cliffs of Moher. Pat shared so much knowledge and insight into each stop and along the way, we learned so much. After our Cliffs of Moher visit (which was spectacular and not to be missed), Pat arranged for us to have an authentic Irish lunch at Gus O'Connor's Pub in Doolin. It was delicious and enjoyed by all of us! Pat provided outstanding service to us as a tour guide, expert driver and even a friend. We had an issue with our rental car tire which put the rest of our trip in jeopardy. We mentioned to Pat when he arrived to pick us up at the hotel and he helped us to quickly figure out a solution, assisted us with dropping the rental car off to have it repaired and to pick it up at the end of our day. His willingness to help us ensured that we could continue our vacation uninterrupted. We truly appreciated Pat, his knowledge, care and kindness and highly recommend him for your visit to the Galway area.

  We had the best day with Fergus! He showed us the Cliffs of Moher, Burren and sooooo many other places. We also had an amazing lunch at a pub he suggested! He is so friendly and knows so much about Ireland! We went to many places that we would have never known about if it wasn’t for him. We also had the best weather which made the day even more enjoyable!

  If you want to get the most of your time in the Galway and Cliffs of Moher region this tour was outstanding. Our host Fergus delivered on all the core logistics (coordination, pick up, timeliness) but also added all the experience details that brought the history and stories of the region to life. We saw and experienced more than could have occurred in any other tour and Fergus expertly adapted to our requests. When weather threatened to interrupt our itinerary, Fergus pivoted and saved the day. It was a highlight experience for our group of four.

  We had tons of fun, we learned a lot, we saw hidden gems, and we got some excellent recommendations. Short answer: book it! Fergus was very prompt in picking us up. In fact the front desk of our hotel called us 10 minutes early to say that our ride had checked in but there was no rush. We happened to be ready anyway, so it was awesome to kick off a bit ahead of schedule. First thing, Fergus asked us what sights we didn't want to miss. He also peppered in some lesser-known and small-group-only sights in between the big ticket items. If you're paying for a private tour, this is what you're really paying for, and Fergus surpassed our expectations. Everywhere we went, Fergus had interesting commentary. He had things to tell us not only about the sights themselves, but about the land and the people around them. Lastly, Fergus was just a good guy to spend the day with. He's a good conversationalist, and he was very accommodating of our individual needs. By the end of the day, he was giving us great recommendations for more stuff to do in Galway City itself. In a sense he gave us two great days in the area.

  We had an incredible private tour that was wonderful from start to finish. Patrick was our driver and guide, and he was outstanding - professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture, and hidden gems along the way. The Cliffs of Moher were absolutely breathtaking, and the sheepdog demonstration was such a treat, too! It gave us a real taste of Irish countryside life. Patrick also took us to a charming local pub for lunch, where the food was delicious and authentic. We ended the day with a beautiful coastal drive that was as stunning as it was relaxing. • Absolutely perfect days with Fergus!

  Fergus picked us up straight from the train station in a beautiful Audi and we were off for a full day! It never felt rushed but we fit so much in as everything was perfectly planned (down to the second), thanks to his expert driving through the tiny, tight roads! The Cliffs of Moher were stunning and the dog trial was absolutely hysterical.. a must do that we never would’ve thought of on our own. He then took us to several spots “off the beaten path”, which we never would’ve found that were absolutely breathtaking hidden gems and the highlight of our trip. Fergus is a wealth of information and lovely to spend the day with (so much so that we ended up asking him for a ride to our next destination, which he graciously agreed to). This day was the highlight of our entire trip to Ireland and we cannot recommend Fergus enough. We look forward to keeping in touch with him - he is the BEST (and as an added bonus, an expert photographer - clearly a well seasoned father of 2 girls)!
