  Kay Abrams gave us a beautiful tour of historic Charleston! She gave us so much interesting information, and she was a joy to be with. Her passion for giving an informative yet fun tour is evident.   Our private tour of Charleston was outstanding for our whole group, from teens to older adults. We wanted to focus on Jewish history of Charleston. Kay was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much history, local insight, and interesting details in a fun and engaging way that kept everyone interested. Kay was very accommodating with on-the-go adjustments throughout the tour. We appreciated the perfect balance of detailed information, humor, and flexibility. Highly recommend for families or mixed-age groups looking for a memorable Charleston experience!”

  We were in Charleston for a family wedding weekend. Most of us had never been there before, so we really wanted a concentrated way to get to know the city’s history. Kay gave our private group a fabulous tour! She’s knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. Very responsive and easy to work with as we made our plans. We learned a lot and completely enjoyed the experience. We’ve done walking tours in quite a few cities, and Kay was one of the best guides we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

  Our family gathered for an 80th birthday celebration in Charleston and our tour with Kay was one of the top, if not the top, experiences for each of us! She is extremely knowledgeable, witty, and made the history of Charleston come alive! She’s also insightful and funny and touched on architecture, anecdotes, and famous or infamous citizens as we wandered down little tucked away alleys and historic streets. We learned so much as she kept us moving, even though it was raining! She also recommended other things for us to do that turned out great. For example, she suggested we change our boat trip to Fort Sumter to the first boat so we could experience the flag raising. She also recommended we go to the Nathaniel Russell house because the docent is excellent. (And she was! ) We highly recommend Kay!

  Kay’s private walking tour with our extended family was so informative and lively. She has a wealth of knowledge about Charleston history and imparts it with enthusiasm. We learned so much about Charleston and had a lot of fun in the process! We would all recommend Kay!

  If this was all I saw of Charleston, my cup would be full! Kay Abrams is not only a lovely person, but she is smart, funny and passionate about Charleston and its history. She brought everything to life. I felt as if the stories were actually happening as my husband and I followed her through time. She gave more than we could have ever hoped for with her personal knowledge of not only history but architecture and protocols of the time. It was exciting, educational and great fun!   We have traveled the world and have done plenty of tours. Kay was the best! She was so knowledgeable and engaging. She was FUN! We had two days with her and enjoyed every second. We would HIGHLY recommend her!

  GO WITH KAY!!! Kay is amazing! Fun, knowledgeable, and very chic. She was full of energy, adapted the tour to our interests and whims, and she felt like a part of the family by the need!

  We had a great experience on our private walking tour of Charleston with Kay. She was incredibly friendly, engaging, and clearly very knowledgeable about the city’s history, architecture, and culture. She made everything easy to understand and kept the tour interesting the entire time. The 2.5 hours flew by, which is always a good sign—you can tell we were really enjoying ourselves. It felt very personalized, and Kay was happy to answer questions and tailor parts of the tour to our interests, which made it even more special. The only thing to keep in mind is the cost. A private tour is naturally more expensive than a group option, so it’s worth considering what type of experience you’re looking for. That said, if you value a more intimate, customized experience, Kay is a fantastic choice. Overall, we’d definitely recommend her for a Charleston walking tour!
