  A once in a lifetime tour ~ our guide Fred was unbelievable. His knowledge of the history of , who , what, where and why surpassed our expectations. He actually has such a passion, and it was contagious ~ he was captivating the entire day . We did the private tour, it hit five major points, Omaha and Utah Beach, The American Cemetery , St. Mare Eglise Pont du Hoc-was , pricey , but well worth the comfort of the car and able you to be able to ask all kinds of questions. Request Fred, take the private tour, you won’t regret it .

  Had a wonderful day. Morgane was an invaluable wealth of information. I have worked in the travel industry for over 30 years. When I take tours I rate based on if I would recommend to clients. I would not hesitate to send any of my clients on this tour and have Morgane bring alive a memorable Normandy experience.

  Our exceptional guide Charlie arrived on time and created a schedule that brought us to all the D-Day Invasion sights and beaches that we were interested in seeing. I was amazed at the knowledge and enthusiasm Charlie possessed for every historical location in Normandy. I wanted something special and personalized for our tour and our experience surpassed anything I could have hoped for. Charlie knew how to circumnavigate inclement weather so that we successfully avoided rain which was moving through the area. Charlie also knew when to bring us to the American Military Cemetery to witness the lowering of the flags. In a little over 8 hours we were able to see Omaha and Utah Beaches, the church at Sainte-Mère-Église, Pointe du Hoc and the Normandy American Cemetery. We spent ample time at each location and Charlie shared stories that included what really happened vs. what you have seen in films. The citizens of Normandy take pride in taking caring of all the sites associated with the D-Day landing and guides like Charlie make you appreciate their effort in maintaining these memorials for future generations. Our tour included pick-up and return to our Bayeux hotel, a clean comfortable vehicle with water, a lunch break of our choosing (but with recommendations), as well as a successful search for restrooms with both toilet paper and toilet seats. (Why Europe cannot provide free clean restrooms with seats and toilet paper is a constant concern and conundrum for most American women. Take heart, the restroom at the American Cemetery is truly the finest public facility you will find in all of France.) I would return to Normandy and specifically hire Charlie to explore the remaining beaches. If you can afford a private tour; I truly recommend this as you will efficiently cover a lot of locations that are quite spread out as well as receive a complete and thorough education of the events that took place.
