Omaha Beach
You will be given a great overview of the beach landings that took place on Omaha Beach on June 6th, 1944. After which, you will have around 15 minutes free time to walk on the sand (depending on tidal conditions) where American forces landed on D-Day.

The guide will lead you into the incredible American Cemetery and explain many key facts about when it was built, why it is located where it is and many of stories of the men and women who are buried here. You will be given around 45 minutes free time to explore on your own.

5.00Mathieu was absolutely amazing. He did his research to make a private tour worthwhile. But it wasn't just his knowledge and cordiality that we appreciate. He is a marvelous storyteller and showed true enthusiasm when leading us about. He truly made the day a unique and special memory for us.

5.00We went with Bayeux Shuttle and they were magnificent! For info on booking, assistance in choosing, help with payment, and generally being courteous and friendly and super helpful. Our tour guide was Rethro and he was superb, from start to finish full of great information and answered every single question we posed. He is a mine of information and fun facts, great English, punctual, went way above and beyond the call of duty. We will be back and we will recommend to all. Thank you Bayeux Shuttle! ❤️

5.00Our driver/guide was incredibly good. Exceptionally knowledgeable, incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. His name was Rethro if I am spelling correctly. The tour greatly exceeded our expectations. We thought we knew a fair amount about WWII and D-Day, but we really didn't. Now we do.

5.00Our tour guide, Marine was fantastic. Her knowledge of the area (she is a local) and history of WWII was outstanding. Each of us learned a lot. This tour was so informative. Taking the full day to absorb the gravity of the war and appreciate all those who sacrificed so much was well needed.

5.00Noemie is a phenomenal guide! She provided historical context and visuals to make everything come alive. Utah & Omaha beaches with the bunkers, defense lines & positions of the allies were unbelievable. We visited a museum & ended at the Normandy American Cemetery when the flag was lowered and taps were played. There are no words to describe the feeling - except our deep gratitude to all service members! Our guide was flexible & so easy to be with. We highly recommend a private tour!

5.00The tour was wonderful, very complete, and the guide also made the effort to speak to us in Spanish, which we greatly appreciated. She also took us to the German cemetery, which was not originally included in the itinerary, because we were very interested in seeing it. She was delightful at all times, especially when she kindly offered to take family photos for us. We had a wonderful day — a totally recommendable experience.
