5.00We had the best day ever touring the Amalfi Coast/Pompeii with our tour guide, Paolo. He was on time, easy to find after we got off the ship. He was very engaging and personable. On our way to the Amalfi Coast, Paolo shared with us the history of his beloved hometown, Napoli. He also told us about his family and what day-to-day life is like there. When we arrived in a small town called Minori on the Amalfi Coast. We stopped at a pastry shop called Sal De Riso. Paolo recommended we try a dessert called “Delizia”, a mini sponge cake filled with lemon cream soaked in limoncello syrup and topped with a lemon flavored glaze. It was an amazing dessert and definitely worth the calories. The shop also had a large selection of other desserts. From there, Paolo took us to Ravello where we visited “Villa Rufolo,“ a 13th century villa with stunning views and gardens overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. In the afternoon we had a scheduled tour of Pompeii with an archaeologist. Paolo dropped us off and we agreed on a specific meeting time. We had to cut the tour short to meet him on time. We would recommend giving yourself at least 3 to 4 hours to enjoy Pompeii. Paolo took us to lunch at one of his favorite pizza restaurants near Pompeii. After lunch we made our way back to the ship with plenty of time to spare before leaving Napoli. Choosing a private tour is the best way to travel. It is definitely more expensive but it’s worth the cost. We highly recommend Paolo as your tour guide when you visit Napoli. He was the best guide we’ve ever encountered.

5.00Wonderful experience Vincent did an outstanding job taking us along the Amalfi coast. Made reservations on the fly for lunch in Amalfi. And did this all on very short notice when our original tour with another operator became a problem.

5.00Paulo was prompt picking us up. There were 4 of us and he immediately put us at ease. He drove us first to Pompeii where we had scheduled a 2 hour tour and then picked us up after. The coastal road is breathtakingly beautiful but very twisty and winding. I could tell he was very comfortable driving this road. The love he has for the area was shared with us and he would stop at various viewpoints for photos. He allowed us an hour on our own in ravello where we lunched and did some souvenir shopping. Unfortunately we couldn’t spend more time on the coast since our boat had to sail at 5. Paolo did his best for us to get to see as much as possible before he dropped us off at the terminal. I would definitely recommend him if you want a friendly and knowledgeable guide to the amalfi coast.

On top of that, he shared so much history and insight about Italy, which made our visit to the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii even more meaningful. Paolo’s knowledge and warm personality truly made the tour unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour!!

5.00The experience was great and Paolo was very knowledgeable and friendly. I loved it all. Because this is a private tour, should you want to make changes to the itinerary, you can. If you wish to stay somewhere a little longer and sacrifice another place, you can. That can work out in your advantage under the right circumstances.
