Huangpu Ancient Village Museum

At 8am, you will be picked up from your centrally located Guangzhou hotel, then head to the Huangpu Ancient Port which used to be the important harbour to sail from Guangzhou. There are still the old port, old village, and market etc. to explore the history about the old Guangzhou.

Then you will head to Shawan Old Town, which is a well-preserved old village to show you the history and culture about Guangzhou. There are family temples, academy, old lanes, and food street to wander around.

Our tour guide Stoney and the driver were great. However, a note about this tour… it would have better to skip the ancient towns. These Aiden’s towns were REALLY ancient. It’s not the “rebuilt” commercialized ancient towns in some other parts of China. Baomo Garden was beautiful and definitely worth going. The lunch location was also great. The Pearl River cruise but definitely better to book this at night vs during the day. Suggestion for the tour operator… maybe remove the ancient towns from this tour :).
