You will meet a licensed guide at the main gate in Pompeii, after purchasing tickets, the tour begins and you will be led by the guide through the ruins of this amazing ancient town.
This gate provides access to the west of the city and it is the most impressive among the seven gates of Pompeii.

5.00Great tour and the time we spent in Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mt. Vesuvius was worth the trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable on the topic and spent time discussing each area. We did climb Mt Vesuvius and was able to look into the Caldera.

5.00Tony took us around Pompeii and Herculaneum and we had an amazing day, he was amazing and knew everything about the sites and could answer every question. He kept the tour entertaining and showed us a delicious restaurant as well near by. As well he was funny and full of passion to teach us everything . Definitely would recommend this tour to anyone solo, family or in a group.

5.00A private tour of Pompei, Herculaneum and Vesuvius is a great way to do it, especially when one of the party doesn’t travel too well. We were picked up from our hotel and driven smoothly around by Antonio in a large comfortable vehicle for the day. At Pompei and Herculaneum we had an amazing guide, Alona, who was full of energy and shared so much interesting information about these incredible sites which should be on every bucket list. Finally, we climbed to the summit of Vesuvius where the incredible views into the crater and back down over the bay of Naples and over to Sorrento were well worth the hot climb up! A great day for the family and an amazing way to wrap up our Italian holiday, all expertly managed by Antonino who was sadly taken ill and unable to drive us, but quickly arranged cover so we didn’t miss out - communications ahead of our experience were excellent. Not a cheap tour but highly recommended.
