You will meet a licensed guide at the main gate in Pompeii, after purchasing tickets, the tour begins and you will be led by the guide through the ruins of this amazing ancient town.
This gate provides access to the west of the city and it is the most impressive among the seven gates of Pompeii.

5.00Antonino was the best experience we had on our visit to Naples. He picked us right up from our hotel and gave us a knowledgeable tour of both Pompeii and Herculaneum. My wife is not the history buff that I am so he took care to not overdo it. I can honestly say we would not have had as easy and enjoyable of time if it wasn’t for him. I would recommend Antonino to anyone wanting the full archeological tour experience. He even dropped us off at the port afterwards so we could board our ferry to the next adventure.

5.00This experience was, by far, the most interesting and informative one I have ever participated in. From the moment he picked us up until he dropped us off (9 hours later--which flew by, frankly), our guide Antonino engaged all 4 of us in an interactive discussion of Pompei, Mt. Vesuvius, and Herculaneum. He had amazing graphics and photos on his tablet to provide visual representations and had a warm sense of humor and delight as he explained what we were seeing and answered every question in a clear and accessible way. His passion and knowledge were stellar. As I told him at the end: "This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us and you were a once-in-a-lifetime guide."

5.00Antonio was prompt, very communicative, good with kids and an excellent historian full of knowledge. He was let us take breaks as needed with the kids and still kept us on track to make sure we got to do everything. I recommend anyone do this tour over the large group tours we saw out and about. Thanks Antonio!

5.00This is the true full day experience that was the best investment. We got great historic details, the little details about Pompeii you wont get on other tours, see everything up close with a highly knowledgebable and personable guide was the difference maker. An important note of thanks as advanced communication with the tour provider allowed us to add an extra stop on in our day at Bosco di Medici winery.

Antonio was a nice and informative guide and even though we had a lot of ground to cover he made sure the whole day felt laid back and even suggested an awesome place have to grab lunch before the hike part. I’d definitely book another tour with him next time I’m in Italy.

5.00Excellent day trip with Antonino! There was only myself and my wife in our party. I went with a private guided tour, as I wanted to spend more time at Herculaneum and Pompeii, which Antonino certainly allowed for extra time. He was incredibly polite, very knowledgeable and punctual. He even recommended an authentic Naples pizza restaurant close by to Pompeii, which was incredibly delicious and one of the best pizzas we had on our entire trip. Vegan too! We also hiked up to Mount Vesuvius. Unfortunately, we had poor weather- very cold and windy with light rain. Nevertheless, we got great views of the crater before the weather turned. Antonino was punctual and waiting for us at the mountain entry. If you want a private, personalized guided tour, do not hesitate. You will be fully satisfied with Antonino and his services. Ciao!

5.00Antonino was great! Very kind and knowledgeable. Mt Vesuvius was closed because of the weather so he gave us and extended tour in Pompeii and Ercolano and a quick drive through tour in Naples to compensate. Definitely worth it.
Highly recommended to get a taste of Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius, and Herculaneum!

5.00Excellent tour with Antonio! He is friendly and a good driver. He was responsive about communication before the tour over Whatsapp. He clearly loves his job and knows a lot about the history and the sites. It was very helpful to have a curated experience of Pompeii as it is huge and he had lots of fun anecdotes. Herculaneum is much smaller but better preserved so was very cool to see both places and see the similarities and differences. Mt. Vesuvius was a nice hike at the end to get the full experience, but if you'd rather spend the time at Pompeii or Herculaneum, it's not a must-see. Antonio was flexible and adaptable to what we wanted to see and do and ensured we had sufficient breaks (and a yummy pizza lunch near Herculaneum!). Highly recommend his tour!
