The tour starts with the pick-up at your accommodation in Vienna at a designated time. The driver will introduce you the specifics of the tour after which the tour commences with a drive through the Viennese Forest and first stop Melk Abby.
Melk Abbey
After arriving to Melk, introduce yourself to the history of almost one thousand years old Benedictine Abbey. Overlooking the town of Melk, the impressive baroque-style Abbey is a home of the famous library and a final resting place of Saint Coloman, the patron saint of Austria. During the visit, you can also explore the Abbey church and the garden pavilion. After approximately 1 hour visit of Melk, continue your journey through Austrian countryside ,lakes and mountains to your next destination charming town of Hallstatt.

5.00I had Darko drive me around some of the most spectacular towns and mountains I have ever seen. He also acted as my photographer and gave me tips of places to go as he would drop me off at Salzburg, Hallstatt and Melk etc so I felt like a VIP with my own driver, who has good knowledge of the areas but also lets you do your own thing. This is an excellent experience if we want to pack a lot of excellent sightseeing in Austria in 1 day as well as being entertained by the funny, knowledgeable and accommodating Darko!

5.00It was a busy day with a long drive, but our guide/driver, Darko, made the day go smoothly and pleasantly. He made recommendations based on our preferences. In addition, he made an extra stop with a gorgeous mountain range view, providing a wonderful photo opportunity. We really enjoyed the day with Darko!

The Best Way to Experience Melk, Hallstatt, and Salzburg in One Day

5.00If you take this tour, you can expect to feel that you did not have enough time in Melk, Hallstatt, and/or Salzburg. Thirteen hours is simply not enough time to fully appreciate all three. To the credit of our driver, D, he did an excellent job of advising us based on our individual interests. Although my wife would have been satisfied with 60 minutes at the monastery in Melk, I needed 90 minutes because I have a strong interest in history. My wife and I found 60 minutes to be more than enough time to stroll through the small, picturesque town of Hallstatt, but may people comment in their review that they would have preferred to spend more time in Hallstatt. Upon arrival in Salzburg, we had 2.5 hours to see the Mirabell Gardens (15 minutes), Mozart's Birthplace (45 minutes), and the Fortress (45 minutes). (The remaining 45 minutes was spent walking from one sight to another.) My wife and I have a strong interest in classical music and were disappointed that we couldn't spend at least another 30 minutes in Mozart's Birthplace. By the time we reached the Fortress by cable car at 5 PM, all of the Fortress museums were closing. Our driver, D, was very personable and a great conversationalist which made the long drives between destinations quite enjoyable.

5.00We would highly recommend this experience! Our driver, Darko, was outstanding and made the trip even better than we could have hoped for. It was a great trip that showed us the beauty of Austria at a nice pace. We traveled as a group of 6 adults ranging in age from 21-78 and we all agreed it was a day well spent! Kudos to Darko for being a great photographer for our group too!

5.00If you want the best private tour experience than choose this one. We had the top of the line experience with Mr. “D” He’s the best. Wonderful ride, top of the line, and very clean. Mr. “D” was so caring and informative. We learned so much our brains never got tired. The places we toured were astonishing and breathtaking. Thank you Mr. “D” for taking such great care of us😀😊

5.00This was an absolutely unforgettable trip! It was only my wife and I, and we are so glad we booked this trip. If you are staying in Vienna and want an opportunity to explore more of Austria, especially the beautiful Alpine region, this trip will not disappoint. The views and places we visited were nothing short of stunning. I also want to give a big shout-out to our guide, Darko, who was fantastic. He gave us wonderful information about not only how to maximize our experience driving around the country, but also some great tips on things to do in Vienna. He was very knowledgeable and very much a joy to have been with that day! Great trip!

5.00Darko was a very warm and engaging tour guide with a lively sense of humor. We were especially impressed with how he offered suggestions and customized the tour to enhance our preferences and experiences. Hallstatt was breathtaking and we loved the opportunity to have time to explore it. The beauty of Salsburg was especially appreciated in our lunch atop the castle overlooking the Alps, suggested by Darko and a highlight of our tour. He made sure we visited Cafe Konditorei to buy the most authentic Mozart chocolates. The engaging rapport, to and from Vienna, made the travel time fly by. We really enjoyed our day of touring with Darko and would highly recommend him as a host for a tour.

5.00Our driver/guide D was great. He was really flexible and let us decide where we wanted to spend the most time. He stopped at some off-the-beaten path places that were beautiful. We had lots of time to explore on our own. He kept us laughing the whole trip
