Atomium
The driving from Amsterdam to the Atomium is about 2.5 hours. The Atomium, a unique architectural landmark in Brussels, Belgium, was constructed for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair (Expo 58). Designed by engineer André Waterkeyn, its distinctive shape represents an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times, featuring nine interconnected stainless steel spheres arranged in a cubic unit cell. Standing 102 meters tall, the structure is both an engineering marvel and a symbol of scientific progress and modernity. Originally intended as a temporary exhibit, the Atomium's popularity ensured its preservation. Today, it serves as a museum and exhibition space, with five spheres open to the public. These spheres host various exhibitions and offer panoramic views of Brussels, combining educational content with stunning vistas.
Palais Royal de Bruxelles
The Royal Palace of Brussels, located in the heart of Belgium's capital, serves as the administrative headquarters and main ceremonial venue for the Belgian monarchy. While the royal family resides in the Royal Palace of Laeken, the Royal Palace of Brussels is used for official state functions such as receptions and state banquets. The palace features neoclassical architecture and lavish state rooms, including the Throne Room and the Hall of Mirrors. During the summer months, it opens to the public, allowing visitors to admire its grandeur and learn about Belgian history and the monarchy. The Royal Palace of Brussels is a significant symbol of the Belgian state, playing a central role in the country's cultural and political life.

We had a fantastic time in Brussels with our guide. He showed up punctually at the appointed place and was very knowledgeable about the area. We were able to see and experience Brussels without worrying about the logistics. He also provided good recommendations on food and deserts. The car was very clean and comfortable, and equipped with water and Wi-Fi. Highly recommended.
