All of our guides adore Doctor Who, and some of them have even worked on Doctor Who itself, been interviewed by Doctor Who Magazine, and are considered experts on all things Doctor Who. This tour is your chance not only to see the city of Cardiff but also explore some of this amazing city's history and see some of the places where Doctor Who was filmed with someone who is as passionate about Doctor Who as you are. Even if you are being dragged along as someone's companion, we're certain that by the end of the tour you will love the Welsh capital, and all things Doctor Who.
This 3-hour long tour is perfect for people who wish to see the best bits of Cardiff before taking time to explore the city on their own, or people who wish to travel into the Welsh capital for a day trip from other locations such as London.
Updated as new episodes are released, this tour is the perfect treat for Whovians of all ages and can be customised to suit your needs or length of stay.

Explore how the same location can be used in two separate Doctor Who episodes, with two very different Doctors. Starting with "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances" we will explore how this non-descript location is transformed into 1940's Blitz London. Then we will discuss how the same location, filmed from a slightly different angle and 'dressed' in a different way could be used as Pete's World from "Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel" with not even the most eagle-eyed fans spotting that it was the same place.
The Urban Tap House, owned by the renowned Tiny Rebel brewing company is one of the best pubs in Cardiff. Seen in the background of "Face the Raven" when Rigsy is exploring the streets of London for the alien trap street, at this location you will learn how, and why, Cardiff so often doubles for London in Doctor Who (and several other TV series and films). From outside the Urban Tap House (please let us know if you are over 18 and would like to stop here for a drink as part of the tour) we will be able to see The Principality Stadium, formally the Millenium Stadium, which is home to Welsh Rugby and several episodes of Doctor Who including the series 1 classic Dalek.

5.00James was a fantastic tour guide and took us to a tonne of different Doctor Who locations. He knew just as much or more about the show than I did, which is impressive as I am a huge nerd. Highly recommended!

5.00Great Tour, interesting locations, the guide had great knowledge of the City and Doctor Who. He showed us many pictures of the Episodes on the exact locations were they were filmed. Worth every pound!

5.00My family and friends made a special trip to the UK for Doctor Who's 60th Anniversary. Being such huge fans, we knew Cardiff was a must. Dewi was such a terrific guide. A true Doctor Who fan, he told us countless stories about the places we went, life in Cardiff as relates to Doctor Who, and encounters with cast and crew. He was patient, chill, friendly, and eloquent. We learned a ton about Doctor Who in Cardiff but also about Cardiff itself. Who knew it was such a beautiful place - with tremendous art as well, as a brief trip through the Cardiff Museum revealed masterpieces from impressionists and other masters. We had a Doctor Who tour of London a few days prior and it was not nearly as good, largely because the guide was meh. Dewi was the opposite. Book this.

5.00We loved our private walking tour with Dewi. He picked us up at our hotel lobby and took us all over. I’m not a fast walker at all but he set an easy pace. I’m the Dr Who fan, Hubby is not but Dewi had so much Cardiff history including a visit to the art museum that he enjoyed it every bit as much as I did. We had no idea Cardiff was such a center for films. We also learned about locations used in Sherlock and James Bond. Dewi was a font of knowledge about the area and his restaurant recommendations were also spot on. Such a great tour!

5.00Our tour was great as David gave us alot of information including images to remind you of what is being referenced. It is not only great for doctor who fans but also for people who want to know more about Cardiff as a whole. He also recommend alot of places around the town you should visit or eat at. I would highly recommend taking this tour if you want to know more about Cardiff and everything doctor who in Cardiff.

4.00David was an awesome tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and clearly a huge Dr Who fan. The tour was great for Dr Who fans as well as other TV shows filmed in Cardiff plus added Cardiff facts.
Perfect intro to Cardiff for Whovians and non-fans alike.

5.00I’m a Doctor Who fan, so this was very interesting, but my wife knows next to nothing, and very much enjoyed it too. Enough about Cardiff and Wales in addition to Whovian stuff, so a great experience. Didn’t feel rushed, tour guide David clearly enjoys what he does, and is very good at it. His food recommendations were spot on, we had lunch at Cosy Club, which was a perfect rest after the walking. Good pace, I took plenty of pictures and had time to shop at the Market at David’s suggestion, so it was fun. I don’t love tours usually, I like to do my own thing, but this was great for all 4 of us.
