Sanibel Island Lighthouse

On our way to Sanibel Island, we’ll cruise past well-known dolphin watching spots, including the waters near Picnic Island. These areas are home to playful dolphins, and sightings in their natural habitat are frequent., often surfacing and swimming nearby, creating unforgettable moments along the journey. Once we arrive at Sanibel, you’ll have the chance to step ashore near the iconic Sanibel Island Lighthouse. It is a beloved landmark with sweeping views of the Gulf waters stretching out into the Gulf. Guests can take a leisurely walk along the sandy shoreline, hunt for shells on beaches famous for their treasures, or capture photos of the lighthouse framed by palm trees and sea oats. Families may enjoy wading in the shallow waters, while couples can find a quiet spot to sit and take in the scenery. With plenty of unhurried time here, you’re free to relax, explore, and soak up the unique atmosphere of this historic island before we set out on our return journey.

    Coming from Canada we were set out to find a great experience and luckily one day Aldo and Damaris were sailing by our dock on the way out and got to chatting. Turns out I was looking at their website the night before. Had the most amazing day out with them. They went above and beyond for us which was way more than we ever expected. We sailed out around 8:30am and found a pod (or maybe more) of dolphins right away which was so spectacular coming from a dolphin lover. Spent time at Sanibel Island for much of the day and ended up getting a late lunch at a spot I can’t quite remember. I can’t recommend this tour and this amazing couple enough 10/10!!

    Aldo and his wife, Demeris, were AMAZING! They completely customized our adventure, catering to our late arrival, scheduling a time and pick up location that were convenient for us, and spending most of the time looking for dolphins! They taught us about the local sea life, and were very knowledgeable. Aldo was hilarious, and we laughed throughout the entire excursion. Demeris was sweet and so helpful. Their boat was the newest, cleanest and most impressive boat I’ve ever been on in this price range. I own my own boat, but this one made me feel like I was royal. My family and I travel the world and we do excursions all over the place. This one was one of my favorite, and I highly recommend it. The value was exceptional, and the experience was PERFECT! WE WILL BE BACK!!!

    We had such a fantastic time on our trip with Aldo and Damaris! From start to finish, they went out of their way to make sure everyone was having fun. The music and drinks onboard set the perfect vibe, and the ride itself was smooth and relaxing. Stopping at Sanibel beach was unforgettable. My sons loved swimming and exploring the water, and we all had a great time finding sanddollars along the shore. Watching the sunset from the beach was absolutely stunning, and something we’ll always remember. Aldo and Damaris made the whole experience feel personal and special. This was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun, and we can’t recommend Coastal Friends Boat Tours enough!
