5.00We spent the day with Nuno as he showed us around the town of Evora, Roman temple, museum, cathedrals, and the surrounding countryside. We also visited the megaliths and toured a cork factory as well as seeing the cork trees and how they are harvested. Nuno was a fabulous guide and was so knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area. We enjoyed spending the day with him and highly recommend him as a tour guide!

5.00We took this private tour of Evora because we were really interested in the whole cork industry and since we got to visit the Cork Factory I can say my whole perspective on this business really changed. Definitely a highlight of this tour for us! The Chapel of bones was also interesting, but a bit too weird for us to stay for too long... Our guide Nuno does a great job in explaining the history of the region and make it come to life in his own way! We also got to eat some local food with a nice recommendation that he gave us, so it was good.

5.00Nuno made our tour personalized and relaxing. The pace was great and the locations were very interesting. Nuno’s knowledge made the history come alive and his friendly demeanor was incredibly engaging. We appreciated the door to door pickup and drop off. A perfect day! This experience gets our highest recommendation.

5.00Our tour with Joao was by far our favourite part of our holiday to Portugal. Prior to the tour day, the company was responsive to our queries (we had had other tours by other companies cancelled due to the ongoing forest fires, so were unsure if this one would also go ahead). They communicated collection times very clearly and picked us up right at the door of our AirBnB. Joao was an excellent tour guide; he was extremely knowledgeable, clearly passionate about his home country and it's history and culture along with being very patient. (My sister and I had [too] many questions!) He allowed us plenty of time to visit each of the tour locations, giving us information throughout the process but also allowing us the time to explore ourselves. He was also very considerate in many ways - such as frequently checking with us if the air-con was still suitable (we are very Scottish and were basically boiling alive in the Portuguese heat) and taking our bags to the car when we'd been shopping. Little things like that are so kind and really appreciated. The car itself was very comfortable, had space for bags, and as mentioned - well air-conditioned. Overall I would highly recommend this tour and would certainly say it was good value. When we return to Portugal, we will definitely book another tour with this company. Thank you for a wonderful day Joao, we really enjoyed ourselves!

5.00Our trip to Evora was one of the best tours we have ever experienced. Our tour guide Nuno made history come alive. He is incredibly knowledgable and a wonderful story teller. The tour was very well organized - we experienced so much in one day. We can't say enough about how beautiful the region is and how meaningful the day was for us. We wish every tour guide was as wonderful as Nuno!

5.00Our trip to Evora was wonderful, A day and our guide, Nuna, made it extremely special. He is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We visited the Megoliths, the Cork processing plant and the city. The day introduced us to history of the area from prehistoric times to the present. The highlight for us was the Bone Chapel.

5.00We had a fabulous day with Nuno from Detours. He is a friendly, engaging and knowledgeable tour guide who loves history. We are happy we booked a private tour: seeing the megalith, the chapel and town of EVORA and learning about harvesting and processing cork filled the day with new adventures.
