5.00This was such a great tour from start to finish! Due to jet lag, I was up booking this last-minute adventure at 4:30 AM and my guide Shakir was in my hotel lobby at 8:30 AM that same day! Amazing, responsive service. A retired journalist, Shakir knows his stuff and I was able to ask him any question that came to mind. Despite lots of driving, the car was comfortable and we made enough stops to keep the day interesting. Lunch at a local mountain spot was excellent, offering two different styles of rice and multiple different meat/vegetarian toppings. The Yemeni tea was great, too. I really enjoyed exploring the mountain villages, walking the rose garden terraces and hiking above the cliff hotel. Truly a one-of-a-kind place! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to see the rugged beauty and deep history of Oman. Thank you Shakir!!

5.00We had such a great time with Ghusun! He really made a huge effort to make sure we had the best time, he was friendly, fun and very entertaining. He took us around nizwa Fort and jebel akhdhar and showed us all the best stuff. We loved the dates and coffee in nizwa, all the different food we tried, our treacherous walk across some steps overlooking a sheer drop in the mountains (optional, not for the faint of heart!), our stop at birkat almouz, everything really. A very memorable day!
