Khor Virap
Khor Virap is the most famous pilgrimage site in Armenia, as it is directly connected with the adoption of Christianity. As a state religion, Christianity in Armenia was adopted in 301 due to endeavors of Saint Gregory The Illuminator, who, before converting King Trdat The 3rd to Christianity, was imprisoned in the dungeon, over which a church of Khor Virap monastery was built in the 17th century. From the monastery one can admire the stunning view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.
Noravank Monastery
Passing a narrow road, surrounded by rocks of hundred caves, one discovers a scene of harmony of architecture with nature. The monastery, enshrined with fine architectural solutions and luxurious embellishments, is one of the brightest examples of Armenian architecture of the 13th century. Noravank consists of St. Karapet, St. Gregory The Illuminator churches and St. Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) two-storey church, which is notable for its ideal constructive and sculptural work.

5.00Today was my third day joining a private tour with Hyur, and once again it was a truly wonderful experience. My guide Nelly and driver Grigor were both very kind, gentle, and professional. Nelly was extremely knowledgeable and shared many additional insights throughout the journey, allowing me to understand Armenia’s history and culture on a much deeper level. Without these private, in-depth tours, I would never have had the chance to learn so many details and hidden stories about this country. The itinerary today was quite long — about 12 to 13 hours round trip — but it was perfectly organized. There were plenty of rest stops, and the schedule was well balanced, so I never felt rushed or tired. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and Nelly was always patient to explain everything in detail. 5.00We booked a private tour to Khor Virap, Shaki Waterfall, and the Tatev Ropeway, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our driver, Karen, was absolutely wonderful — patient, professional, and an incredibly skilled driver. He knew all the routes perfectly and was always punctual. The entire trip was comfortable, well-organized, and truly memorable. We highly recommend this tour and Karen to anyone visiting Armenia!

5.00My wife and I did this trip today with Arthur from Hyur services. Pick up from hotel was on time, the car was very comfortable and clean and tidy. Water bottles in door pockets. Arthur was well presented and took care of us all day with multiple unscheduled photo stops. Communication was fun with multiple versions of Google translate used between Australian and Armenian. The itinerary was excellent, the communication with the company before hand was excellent with prompt detailed replies to all questions. I would highly recommend Hyur services in Armenia.

5.00Marina is a very good guide. She speaks very good English and is fair in her explanations in Russian and English. I would have liked to be reminded that it could be cold in Tatev because it is in the mountains. The 25-minute stop at the food court could have been eliminated. The day is very long and it makes it arrive even later in Yerevan. Driver Aro was very good and did not take any risks on the road.

5.00Although very long, it was an excellent trip and worth doing. The monasteries were amazing as well as the scenery along the route. Our guide Tikran was very knowledgeable and informative and managed to explain everything in English and Russian. The driver Aryak was very good especially with the difficult hairpin bends in the mountains. Thankyou both for a memorable trip. Olha and Maria Gawdiak

5.00We had our second trip with Hyur this week and it was so great that Meline was again our guide! As soon as we heard, that she would be again our guide, we knew, we would have a great day! This time Arakel was our driver and he managed to bring us safe through the mountain roads, which is not easy! He was very kind and friendly too! This trip was a long one as we went to: Etschmiadsin - Visiting the oldest Cathedral in the world was just great Noravank - Monastary with a stunning view Tatev and Wings of Tatev - Rather long trip from Jerevan, but absolutely worth it! The wings of Tatev Ropeway (Guiness Book) ride was giving amazing views! And Tatev Monastary was also something you should not miss! But one of the highlights was also the scenary along the way as the landscape changes every 50 kilometers and we find this kind of landscape just astonishing beautiful! But again: Thank you Meline for all your patience, the information, the taking care, the funny conversations, the kindness!
