Udawalawe National Park
Framed by soaring highlands on its northern boundary, in Udawalawe National Park, elephants are everywhere. They roam in herds of up to 30 and total up to 600 in the park, which means a visit here is almost guarantee of sightings. There are also leopards, crocodiles, water buffalo, deer, and all types of bird species, but it’s the elephant that’s the star of the show here. Also visit the ETH..... It will take 8 Hours Total transportation Time....
Elephant Transit Home (ETH)
The Udawalawe Elephant Transfer Home is a facility within Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka that was established in 1995 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation. Its primary objective is to rehabilitate orphaned elephant calves for ultimate release back into the wild.

5.00We recently returned from a vacation in Sri Lanka, delighted by the picturesque places, the simplicity and naturalness of the people, the spirituality and local gastronomy. We discovered all this with Sammy, who accompanied us for more than a week on a tour that started in Colombo, then continued with Sigiria, Kandy, Ella and Mirissa from where we returned to Colombo for the flight back home. Throughout our stay, Sammy was with us, every day, presenting us with the history, traditions and "tastes" of the places visited, with empathy and kindness that you can rarely find. We are deeply gratefull, all 12 of us who formed this group, to Sammy who, after being our guide, became our friend!

5.00We were fortunate enough to have Sammy to ourselves for 5 days.. If you want to go to Sri Lanka - you must book Sammy! I cannot recommend him enough. He’s not only an excellent guide/driver but he’s such a good guy too.. his easy attitude and affable nature made it feel like we were travelling with a mate. Even before we landed, Sammy helped us curate our trip, making recommendations on what to see and do and adjusting as required - even adding last minute activities that we ‘suddenly felt like doing’. It was all so easy and stress free with Sammy.. he’s so happy to accommodate any experience you want, delivering it in 5 star style. We definitely got more than we bargained for with him, surprising us with local treats and ensuring we were always comfortable. The week with Sammy in Sri Lanka was not enough to be honest, there’s so much more to see. Thank you again Sammy for making my husband’s 40th birthday trip so memorable (and easy for me to arrange). From the transfers to accommodation, meals and even gifts - Sammy was able to arrange it all and we truly had a stress free holiday. We can’t wait to come back and we’ll definitely book Sammy again 😊

5.00We visited Srilanka for the first time in March and Sammy was our tour guide for the entire trip. Firstly he greeted us at the airport and welcomed us very beautifully. He provided us with a detailed itinerary and delivered it in a timely and efficient manner. He was always on time to pick us up. We visited many beautiful places because of Sammy and we will definitely be coming back and doing tours with Sammy again. We recommend Sammy 100%. He is also very good with kids, he was very warm & friendly with my kids and both my kids loved him.

5.00Superb trip with Sammy. Steered us through the crowds. Saw all the elephants and wildlife in the park. He is knowledgeable, and at all times we felt safe and enjoyed the trip. Would recommend him to all.
