  We cannot thank Rebeca enough for all of the arrangements she made and executed for us (a full day of private wine tasting and a hot air balloon adventure). The day of wine tasting was incredible and tailored to our tastes (we ordered much for home). We especially enjoyed our hosts at Amaren and Finca Valpiedra who were so gracious. Alvaro was a wonderful driver with a clean, spacious car and was so hospitable! The hot air balloon ride was a highlight with Oskar and Valentin as well. With the help of Rebeca and Alvaro we left with a need to return and experience this hospitality again. We will not hesitate to reach out to Rioja Like A Native when we do visit next.

  My husband and I are wine enthusiasts with a lot of cumulative experience in Napa, Paso Robles, Willamette Valley and Walla Walla. We were so glad we booked this experience. Firstly "Rioja Like a Native" took the time to get to know us and learn what we wanted our experience to be. They were able to develop an itinerary of winery visits that would expose us to the diversity of this wine region. The service was amazing, with friendly, clean, and comfortable driver service. Our guide Fito was very fluid in English which took away the stress of being able to communicate. He has been a part of the wine industry/community for a long while and was able to share a wealth of knowledge over the 2 days of our experience. Our winery visits included mainstream wineries and small boutique and family wineries all with amazing history. Most of the wineries provided snacks and some of our visits had arranged meals which elevated our experience each day. I genuinely don't think we could have enjoyed this area without this experience. Wineries here are not set up to accommodate walk in visits similar to the US. The fact that we were able to enjoy personal tours, taste amazing wine, and do so in a relaxed manner was incomparable. I am so glad we chose this way to experience Rioja. The support in planning and attention to detail each day was so professional and allowed us to truly just relax and enjoy. Post experience Rioja Like a Native was also very helpful with continuing to communicate with wineries and help with purchasing and shipping wine. • Solid & majestic experience in Rioja great for WSET and CMS students

  My wife and I decided to go to Spain for two weeks to relax a bit after a long year of hard work. Yes we visited other areas, but our stay in Logroño was amazing, and in big part because of the amazing experience we had with the Rioja like a Native tours. We are both WSET students well versed in the world of wine, but there is no substitute for actually being there in-person. Our guide, Fito, had a lot of knowledge of Rioja that helped me prepare for my upcoming tests. He went above and beyond what I thought the tour would be like. He introduced us to the winemakers and others at each winery that made for a good lively discussion about the world of wine in Rioja. It's only with this type of tour that you'll get to truly experience this majestic region and what Rioja's contemporary visionaries are working with nowadays, from no-to-light oak, concrete tanks, stainless steel, and amphora! We booked both the Rioja like a native and a private tour. Both days also consisted of local food that went very well with wine. My advice is to maybe go in late August or September because we did spend a few days in a heatwave that we were not used to. Rebecca will be incredibly helpful in curating the right experience for you.

  We booked this tour as it was highly rated and it was what we wanted. We worked with Rebecca to make sure it included what we were interested in. We let her know that we had some wine knowledge and it was evident she passed that on to the bodegas. We enjoyed our winery stops and felt like each one was personalized to us. Lunch in one of the small towns was very enjoyable. I highly recommend this private tour.

  Rebeca did a great job organizing a wonderful Rioja bike tour for us! We rode through beautiful countryside and vineyards off of the main roads. She organized two wiine tastings and a tour ensuring we had English speaking hosts! She left time for us to have lunch in San Vincente - gorgeous town! The bike logistics were so easy with Joty bringng the bikes directly to us. Both were terrific communicators. I can't say enough good things about Rebeca and Joty! Highly recommeded!

  My wife, myself and our 4 month old baby spent the day with Fito and visited 3 wineries. It was an amazing time! Great wine. Fito was great. We never felt rushed, had great conversations and learned a ton about the region. Must do and request Fito if you can!

  

  

• The right way to Rioja

  Over a month on from our wine tour and some of the details are starting to fade from memory. Others, however, will stay with us for a long time. The knowledge and genuine friendliness of Fito, Rebecca and Robert. Their lovely dog, who will never know how close he was to being spirited back to the UK. The amazing wineries, with their deep cellars, long histories and fascinating artefacts. The sumptuous lunch and our less than successful but hilarious attempts to drink wine 'like a native'. The unexpected personal touch at the end. (We haven't opened it yet, choosing instead to wait for a special occasion. Which is odd, as reaching 6pm generally counts as a special occasion in this household.) Not least, of course, the wonderful selection of Riojas, each seemingly more delicious than the last. Yes, a fantastic day all round.

  Rebeca was always responsive and generous in sharing information before the trip. She was also patient and accommodating towards our various requests, which made the experience very special. Highly recommend!

  Rioja like a native was an amazing experience. Robert took us to a few vineyards/wineries. He was very informative. Then for the finale, Robert took us to his home that he shares with Rebecca. We had an amazing lunch overlooking the vineyards of Rioja. Both Rebecca and Robert were so amazing and welcoming. Besides learning about the individual wines of the region, we also learned about the people of Rioja. I highly recommend Rioja like a native with Robert and Rebecca.

  My husband and I (English speakers from the US) had such an amazing time with Robert and Rebeca (and their dog, Taino!!!). Could not recommend booking an experience with them more. Booking the tour was a breeze and we felt confident and super well informed leading up to the day. We were staying in San Sebastián and Rebeca arranged a taxi for us to and from there (~two hours). The day was not one we will ever forget, and we thought the price was fair and 100% worth every penny. They clearly have long-standing relationships in the area and are a wealth of knowledge both about the region and the wine. Was a huge plus that it was just such a pleasure to be in their company. The cherry on the top for us was of course getting to know their sweet dog at the end of the day (which I’m sure is entirely optional if you are not a dog fan). The personal touches from the trip were incomparable, and we cannot wait to visit the region again so we can take another tour. We still use the tips and tricks they taught us about Rioja. Thank you so much to both Robert and Rebeca!!!
