Escape Santiago for a few hours and discover the Andes foothills on this private hiking experience. After pickup at your accommodation, you’ll drive just 30 minutes to reach scenic trails surrounded by native flora and panoramic views of the city and mountains. Your dedicated guide will tailor the hike to your fitness level and interests as you ascend approximately 500 meters (1,640 feet) and cover 3–5 miles (5–8 km). Along the way, spot local wildlife, learn about the region’s ecosystems, and take in breathtaking landscapes. At the summit, enjoy time to relax and capture photos before descending. To finish, savor a delicious cheese & wine picnic featuring local products. This half-day adventure is perfect for nature lovers who want to experience the Andes without leaving the city for long. Morning and afternoon departures are available if you’d like to catch a sunset over the mountains. *For the group tour, we require a minimum of 3 participants. If we don’t reach this minimum, we’ll contact you in advance to reschedule, choose a different tour, or arrange a full refund.

5.00Perfect morning hike. Matias was a knowledgeable and gracious guide. Our little snack/lunch perfectly aligned with my current strict diet. I highly recommend especially if you have been traveling a lot and need some solo time.

5.00What an excellent trip out of the city and a great hike. We really enjoyed views of the city and valleys from the hike, and we enjoyed seeing all the ranches and the horses grazing right beside the hiking trail. Our guide Frank was super knowledgeable about the plant life and Chilean countryside. We also enjoyed the delicious wine and cheese with fresh fruits after the hike. Everything on the tour was just perfect for a half day tour.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed the hike with Paloma. She was a pleasure to be with and very knowledgeable and helpful. We had delicious treats after. The scenery was beautiful and she adapted the route based upon our abilities. We highly recommend this hike- it gives another perspective of Santiago.

5.00We had a wonderful experience with Ecordua, a small family-run company based in Santiago, Chile, offering a variety of trips with a strong focus on enjoying the outdoors. We joined one of their horseback riding trips as complete novices and couldn’t have felt more comfortable, safe, or well cared for. Our guide, Josefina, was outstanding: a well-trained and highly knowledgeable outdoor guide, but above all genuinely enthusiastic about her country and passionate about sharing her knowledge and love for nature with us. This review is both a thank-you for the lovely experience we had and a way to express our support for small businesses like Ecordua, which promote more sustainable tourism and offer a far more personal and meaningful experience for their guests. We were initially drawn to Ecordua by their neat, clear, and informative website—and we were delighted to find that the experience delivered exactly what was promised. May our paths cross again someday. Highly recommended!

5.00My adult daughter and I booked this as a half day outing when we were in Santiago for several days. Easy to reserve online, and bonus points that Ecordua picks up directly at our hotel! Our guide, Frank, was friendly, knowledgeable, and full of enthusiasm for the outdoor activities available in the greater Santiago area. As others have noted, the hike is rocky and steep for the first 15 minutes or so, but becomes a nice dirt path after that. The provided hiking poles were helpful for stability. When we asked what flora/fauna we might see, Frank gave a short list which included small reptiles, rabbits, and condors. Not five minutes later, a HUGE condor circled right above us, what a tremendous sight! The hike felt good - a moderately challenging hike that left us feeling accomplished, but, not worn out. We enjoyed the wine/cheese picnic after (with yummy strawberries, stuffed olives, chips, etc.), and continued chatting with Frank about the local area, and our trip in general. Really, a lovely outing, we recommend this!

5.00It was a terrific 4 mile hike as described. The guide asked if we wanted to modify the planned excursion. She was very accommodating. She was fantastic answering our never ending questions and describing Chilean culture, fauna, and flora. We had a wonderful time.
