Lake Sevan
The fascination and the pearl of mountainous Armenia is Sevan Lake, which is one of the world's greatest high altitude fresh-water lakes. It is about 1900 m above sea level. The lake is of volcanic origin and is surrounded with mountains of 3000 m and higer. The beautiful landscape and the crystal water serve nice preconditions for excellent rest.The lake is also famous for its peninsula and medieval church complex built in 874.
Monastery Sevanavank
A marvelous scene opens in the north-western part of Sevan Lake, where the peninsula towers over the transparent surface of the lake. Sevanavank monastery was built on the peninsula in 874 by the order of king Ashot Bagratuni's daughter princess Mariam. The silhouette of the churches against the background of the turquoise lake and blue sky casts unexplainable impression on the visitors.

5.00This was second time we chose Hyur service for going around Armenia and they didn't disappoint us. From airport transfers to the private tour of Lake Sevan and Sevanavank Monastery...everything was seamless. Clean vehicles with friendly drivers. Mr. Hayk was very friendly and punctual. Highly recommended.

Our driver, Arakel, was incredibly helpful, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. A really memorable experience — highly recommend!

5.00This was our second experience with Hyur Service Tours and once again, it did not disappoint. Our tour guide Jasmine and driver Krikor were fantastic throughout the day. They also arranged a fabulous local lunch after seeing the monasteries and before our free time to explore the lake. We had enough time to rent a jet ski and take a swim, and it was the perfect solution for our day.

5.00Again with Grigor the driver without guide because I had a great experience with him with the private excursion without guide to Khor Virap and Tatev Monastery. Grigor again was wonderful and served as a guide too. I took the boat excursion and I would recommend you don't miss it either. I also bought a beautiful painting on the way up to the monastery. By the way, it is a comfortable climb, so don't miss it out.

5.00Enjoyable half day tour to lake Sevan monastery and a short boat trip. Really liked the relaxed pace of this tour and for the second time our guide was Eduard who was again fantastic.

5.00Our guide, Sam, was incredibly knowledgable! We learned so much about Armenia on our drive. Lake Sevan was beautiful, and the monastery was incredible. We especially loved our lunch in a little cottage overlooking the lake! Our driver Ararat was also great. Highly recommend!
