We are parmesans who are wildly passionate about all the delicious food found around this world famous and historical town. During this walking tour you will experience parmesan lifestyle, visiting the places frequented by locals and immersing yourself in the street life. Booking this tour, you will experience our passion by eating traditional Parmesan and Italian food! You will discover the secrets of the worldwide famous products of this area and taste them: Parmigiano Reggiano, Parma Ham, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Culatello of Zibello, Lambrusco and Gelato. These are just some of the protagonists of this exciting walk! Option 1 is all inclusive. Option 2 doesn’t include tasting. You choose your own food and pay for it directly. There is no requirement to buy any of the food recommended, though our tour stops at some pretty amazing eateries so it can be hard to resist!

You will discover the old town of Parma and its unexpected and eye-catching glimpses of extraordinary artistic beauty and the most authentic Parmesan and Italian food from our favorite vendors, feeding locals for generations. We will visit a Traditional Prosciutteria, a Fresh Pasta Shop or a Grocery Store, a Tradional Bistrò, an Old Patisserie, a Sandwich Shop and an Artisanal Gelato Shop.

We will meet in Garibaldi Square, overlooked by beautiful buildings such as the Captain’s Palace, the Town Hall and the Governor’s Palace, and also shops, restaurants and cafes which have earned the town the title of “UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy”.

5.00To start, this is our first time in Italy and we came to Parma for the history and the food. Roberta was an excellent guide. She was lovely to hang out with for the afternoon, we felt welcome and at ease walking around the city with her. She is passionate and incredibly knowledgeable. Everything we tried was delicious and layered with stories, history and insights that elevated the experience. I would eat a light breakfast because we ate very well on the tour. Sample portions are generous and so delicious. Leave room to savor it all.

5.00It was a wonderful gastronomical experience tasting some of the specialty meats, cheeses, and desserts of this area of Italy. In addition, we saw a few of the main sites of town and learned some of its history. Our tour guide was excellent.

5.00Unforgettable experience! Our group of 4 couples laughed, ate incredible tastings at “locals only” spots we would never have known. Learned the history of Parma and the history behind the foods we ate. Highlight of our trip. Definitely recommend.
