The Military Fortress built in the 18th century was converted into a concentration camp during World War II. The part called „Big Fortress“ became a ghetto-concentration camp for Jews, whereas the „Small Fortress“ was used as a Gestapo police prison. Terezin was not only a place of suffering but also a place of courage, self–sacrifice and the never ending struggle to save those who were destined to be victims of the Holocaust. Entrance fees to both Small Fortress and the Big Fortress are included.

5.00The tour was very informative. Our guide Vaclav (?) was phenomenal. His family has personally lived through the atrocities so it was very moving to hear his family stories. The camp is very eerie. History than needs to be remembered

5.00Patrick was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional and pointed out unique historical facts and figures at each of the locations. The holocaust was horrific and it’s amazing that anyone survived it. Seeing the children’s artwork showed that somehow they found hope through the misery. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend it and, especially Patrick as a guide.

5.00Our guide Petr Kotlar was wonderful and made the tour very memorable and meaningful. He was very knowledgeable and dealt with difficult issues with sensitivity and empathy. We could not have asked for a better guide. Would recommend this tour to everyone.

5.00While this tour is hard to take in, I highly recommend it. Eva did a great job explaining everything and honoring the victims. She made sure everything was accessible for us due to having a stroller. Highly recommend if you are traveling with young children to use Lucy Tours and ask for Eva!

5.00Fascinating and very disturbing tour. Petr is so informed of the history and passionate about sharing the atrocities that happened here. We are so glad we did this tour rather than the Auschwitz’s tour. If we had time, we would do that but out of the two we have no hesitation to recommend this due to the marketing machine the nazis had in place to mislead the world. Petr is a wonderful tour guide! We did the 3 hour Prague tour with him and liked him so much wanted to do this one with him. Highly recommend both Petr and this tour.

3.00About the Tour company – The ad was misleading. There was no limo. The tour was the most expensive in its class. We suggest they offer water since it’s over several hours and nowhere to buy water bottles. The tour guide tried really hard. He shared a lot of information. He accommodated picking us up at one hotel and dropping us off at our new hotel.
