  We visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial and the submarine museum, and both were incredibly moving and fascinating experiences. The Peace Memorial is something everyone should see at least once — powerful, emotional, and beautifully presented with so much history to reflect on. The submarine was also brilliant and gave a really interesting insight into Japan’s naval history and technology. What made the whole experience even better was our guide, who was only 19 years old and honestly one of the best guides we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. His name was Ranma Kobayashi, and he was knowledgeable, confident, engaging, and explained everything with real passion and maturity beyond his years. What made it even more special for me personally is that I’m an ex-submariner, and I was able to share some insight into the British submarine service with him as well, which made the experience feel like a genuine two-way exchange. He answered questions brilliantly and made the history come alive. A truly memorable day, and we would highly recommend visiting both sites. Huge credit to such an outstanding young guide!

  We had a wonderful private tour with our young guide Ranma. After the museum, which we highly recommend to visit, he guided us around Peace memorial park and showed us the most important monument and the story behind it. We learned a lot, asked a lot of questions and had an interesting time. We can only recommend this private tour and our tour guide!

  Saori gave me the most amazing tour, highlighting the devestating effects the bombing had on the citizens of Hiroshima and the city. She was born in Hiroshima and speaks English fluently. We left early to avoid the crowds. She was able to explain what I was seeing and give the backstory to events. She took me to places that I would not have seen otherwise as they were not part of a regular tour. We also went to shrines, parks, and Hiroshima castle. I highly recommend this tour

  Excellent guide Saori was kind and knowledgeable. I enjoyed her company and she made the experience of touring the castle and park worth while.

  Our tour guide Ranma was an awesome tour guide. It was just my husband and myself on the tour so we got to actually get to know Ranma and ask questions. He also helped us locate some spot that we needed to go for the next few visit and had lots of information about our tour of the museum and castle.

  Learned so many histories and some interesting stories. The guide was very nice and polite, and I loved the tour! 100% recommend!

  This tour was amazing as it included all of the sights that we wanted to see. The museum was very emotional, but at the same time gave us a good feel and understanding of the tragedy.
