【Discover the Art of Matcha in Central Hiroshima!】
Looking for a deep, authentic experience right in the heart of the city? Join me in Hatchobori (Downtown Hiroshima) for a private, hands-on Matcha and Wagashi session. Perfect for a relaxing break between sightseeing at the City Center Area.
Hands-on Learning: I'll teach you the simple, essential basics of whisking the perfect bowl of matcha.
Personalized & Private: Visit my favorite local tea utensil and Japanese confectionery shops to choose your own sweets and matcha.
The remaining matcha powder is yours to keep as a special souvenir (approx. 15g per group)—enough to host your own tea party for 8-10 friends back home!
Comfortable for Everyone: We use tables and chairs—no need for painful sitting on tatami mats.
All-Weather Friendly: Most of our 1.2 km (0.75 miles) walk is through covered shopping arcades, making it perfect for rainy or hot days.
Wagashi (sweets) selection varies by season to ensure the best local flavors.

First, we'll head to a shop specializing in tea ceremony utensils and matcha. Here, you'll browse a beautiful selection of traditional tea ceremony tools and choose the high-quality matcha you'll use for your matcha experience that day.
Next, we'll move to a local Japanese confectionery shop. You'll select exquisite wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets), just like those served at formal tea gatherings.

This was my first time participating in the tea ceremony. I had seen it on TV and in movies and it looked easy, but it was surprisingly difficult. She explained things very carefully, and I learned a lot. It was fun. Thank you very much.

"Had a blast on Sachi's short trip to Japan! We explored traditional tea houses and sweet shops, and I soaked up everything about tea — history, types, tools, and how to make matcha. Turns out, green tea and Japanese sweets are total BFFs! Super cool and a great way to learn about Japanese culture."
