We depart Muscat to Nizwa, the old capital of Oman. Visit to the famous Nizwa Fortress. Today, the for is a museum that showcases the history of the fort and surrounding area. Said was our guide for this tour and he did a good job answering questions and telling us about the historic sites. There was a lot of ground to cover so we moved along quickly and efficiently. This was not a leisurely tour.

Yassir was everything we wanted in a tour guide and then some. He had an encyclopaedic knowledge about Oman, and shared with us all about this fascinating country. His pride for his country surely came through. He took us a on a tour of the incredible forts and castles that made this country, and we were deeply immersed into its storied past and influences. We had asked for a local place instead of an expensive touristy spot for lunch, and Yassir delivered. You'll definitely be in great hands when Yassir is at the wheel.
