The Hobbiton Movie Set is a popular tourist attraction as a picturesque film location, used in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. It features charming hobbit holes, the Green Dragon Inn, the Party Tree, and lush rolling hills. Visitors can explore the whimsical village as seen in the films.
Lady Knox Geyser
The Lady Knox Geyser is a geothermal geyser located in the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland near Rotorua . It erupts daily at around 10:15 AM, triggered by the addition of a surfactant to start the eruption process. The geyser can reach heights of up to 10–20 meters (33–66 feet) and lasts for several minutes.

5.00Our day trip to Hobbiton from Auckland with Kiwi Adventures Tours was nothing short of unforgettable. From start to finish, everything was smooth, timely pickup from hotel and well-organized. Completely loved private tour experience we never felt rushed. Our guide, Jeffon, was absolutely fantastic. He was kind, accommodating, and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the journey. We had an amazing time. Major highlights of Hobbiton were lush green hills, charming hobbit holes, and beautifully preserved movie set. Highly recommended.

5.00Our Hobbiton and Rotorua day tour was pure magic! from Auckland with Kiwi Adventure Tours. One of the best experiences we had in New Zealand! From start to finish, everything was so well-organized, comfortable, and fun. Clean and spacious van with a complete private travelling experience. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great stories about the areas we visited. We would definitely take private tour again next time!

5.00We had an amazing experience with Rob on our Rotorua and Hobbiton Movie Set tour from Auckland! It was such a unique and memorable trip — from exploring Rotorua’s stunning natural hot pools and learning about Māori culture to visiting the incredible Hobbiton movie set. The highlight of the day was definitely walking through the magical Hobbiton village, which felt like stepping into a real-life movie scene. Rob was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole journey comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended!
