This is a self-guided walking trail, designed for you to compete with your friends and family by visiting different sites along the route, answering questions and finding off-piste locations. In this interactive game, there are also bonus ways of earning or losing points, which depends on who/what you see during the tour. Offering you the chance to see Saint Malo from a different perspective, you'll be provided with a digital copy of the tour, full of photographs, history and tricky questions. There's no need for Wi-Fi, you just need to download your tour and you're ready to go. You'll be guided to different sites, where you can learn about their history and earn points by answering questions, as well as earn bonus points by finding different spots in the vicinity - for example, did you know that there used to be guard dogs ('les chiens du guet') let loose on the beach at night? It's up to you to find the traces of these fierce dogs along the ramparts!

Chateau de Saint Malo
One of your first stops will be the city's old castle, now the Hotel de Ville, which is just a 2 minute walk from the start point.
Les Remparts de Saint-Malo
You will be guided around the ramparts, reached via stairs or a ramp, which offers beautiful views over the walled city and the beaches that surround it.

5.00If you are going to a place you do not know and want to visit this place in the most effective way, I definitely recommend it. If you went with your children, you can spend time with them like an adventure game.

5.00We loved doing this game, it was a great way to see St Malo and spot lots of little details and corners we probably would’ve missed otherwise. We choose to just take our time and stop off at some of the recommended cafes and museums along the way, so we had a lovely afternoon walking around the town. We booked this after really enjoying Worktown Games’ Paris game, and it didn’t disappoint.

5.00We previously did one of Worktown Games tours in Paris & loved it so having booked a trip to Saint Malo were keen to try their game there ! The route was easy to follow & took us to places we wouldn't have found ourselves with lots of interesting & fun facts on the way. This was a different & fun way to discover the town, I really recommend this great game.

4.00This was a good trip overall but the quite limited information about what you were seeing was disappointing and detracted from the enjoyment of the activity. It was annoying that to do some of the extras the information came too late and you had to backtrack to something that you had previously almost walked past. I would also question the timing of 1hr to do the basic walk - I am sure that is theoretically correct if you know exactly where you are going and walked the route quickly but it does not reflect the reality of it as a tourist walk. We did most of the ‘extras’ although we didn’t bother with a few near the end and we were walking at a reasonable pace (though admittedly not a quick pace) and it took nearer 3 hours.
Activity well done and accessible to all!

4.00This Game allowed us to discover (and rediscover) the city of Saint Malo intramuros in complete tranquility (we chose to do it without time limit). The activity allows us to stop at the important sites of the city but also to look up at things that we would not have noticed otherwise. We took to the game of counting our points throughout the activity: our score is 1846 points! We started it around 10:30 a.m. and finished around 3:30 p.m. with an ice cream on the terrace. We took the time for a picnic near the beach to stir up the gulls a little but without success... no points won for that! :-) For those who would choose to do the quick formula in 1 hour, we think that this should not allow you to take the time to see everything, but to each their own formula of course.
