Malik Ghat Flower Market
Malik Ghat Flower Market is the largest flower markets in Asia and located near the famous Howrah Bridge on the Hooghly River at the Mallik Ghat. The Flower Market was built in the year 1855. Starting as early as 03:30 am in the morning. Here you will see a picture of vigour, life, vibrancy.
Howrah Bridge
Howrah Bridge commissioned in 1943 over the Hooghly River. The bridge was originally named the New Howrah Bridge, because it replaced a pontoon bridge at the same location linking the two cities of Howrah and Kolkata (Calcutta). On 14 June 1965 it was renamed Rabindra Setu after the great Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore, who was the first Indian and Asian Nobel laureate. The bridge is one of four on the Hooghly River and is a famous symbol of Kolkata and West Bengal. It is the busiest cantilever bridge in the world. The third-longest cantilever bridge at the time of its construction, the Howrah Bridge is currently the sixth-longest bridge of its type in the world. The bridge does not have nuts and bolts, but was formed by riveting the whole structure. It consumed 26,500 tons of steel, out of which 23,000 tons of high-tensile alloy steel, known as Tiscrom, were supplied by Tata Steel. It is still popularly known as the Howrah Bridge.

5.00Well, i don't know where to start from. Mr. Mukherjee was very helpful from the booking process itself. Due to my sudden medical issue ... I was actually going to cancel my reservation ... but Mr. Mukherjee was kind enough to change his cancellation policy just to accommodate me. During our 2 days trip, he never treated us as clients but rather treated us as family members. He walked the extra mile just to ensure that we could experience more of Kolkata and that too with utmost comfort. He has certainly delivered more than what he had promised ... for example, as per the booking terms, all entrance fees were to be borne by us .... but he paid all the entrance fees .... I really appreciate his this gesture. He even got us some complimentary tea and malai toast on the first day of the trip and complimentary coffee and sweets on the second day of the trip. He gifted us a nice book and really good diyas. I hope I have included all that I have cherished during this 2 days trip. Wishing Kolkata Trips all the very best for future, God bless you.

5.00We visited Kolkata after 15 years--we stayed there Jan 29-Feb 4 and then again Feb 21-25 2025. This is our second stay here at the Hyatt Centric Ballygunge for five days. We stayed here for 7 days at the end of January and had a wonderful experience. The residential area behind the hotel and many byways are very pleasant to walk around. As long as you avoid the main road, it is a wonderful location. There are several vibrant neighborhoods with bustling breakfast joints and local vendors offering fresh produce, fish and flowers. It was very heartwarming to see the staff were genuinely happy to see us back. At the front desk, Abhishek and Jyothi were very helpful. Abhishek went out of his way to help us. People like Abishek make this hotel great. Prantu and Khadija are great servers at the wonderful buffet breakfast. It’s a remarkable spread. Khatija is one of the best. This time we walked around the hotel.

5.00Yet another fantastic experience! This is the second tour I've booked with Mr. Mukherjee, and as always, it was absolutely brilliant. This time, we explored a true hidden gem: Parshwanath Temple. It's such a breathtaking landmark, and I was genuinely surprised it wasn’t crowded with tourists! Mr. Krishnendu, as expected, was an exceptional guide, providing rich insights throughout the tour. I even managed to do a bit of shopping, making the day even more memorable.

5.00Tithankar Mukherhjee and Kolkata trips were the best guides imaginable for an incredible city. After visiting the golden triangle my friend and I decided to visit Kolcata and it was the highlight of an already amazing trip. Tithankar thought of everything and showed us so much more than the city highlights. To help us dive deeper into the city we were joined by a local city guide and historian Krish who explained the history and cultural significance of what we were seeing. This added so much to an already fulfilling experience. And we saw everything! From the colorful flower market to the sombre Mother's House and so much more. Kolkata trips took care of everything and we simply sat back and soaked it all in. My trip to India was life changing and Kolkata stands out as it's pinnacle. I cannot recommend Kolcata trips more. Five stars +++!

The KT team were quite hospitable and willing to alter the planned itinerary according to our interests. They communicated with us before and during our trip, and were always punctual. This tour includes all of the key sites in Kolkata!

5.00We could not have found better tour guide than Kolkata Trips and Tithankar Mukherhjee. Tirthankar was very knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy and super client centric guide. Along with showing us the points of interest, he accommodated our request for shopping and special food requirements! Tirthankar and his driver exhibited perfect attitude and went extra miles to make sure that we were 110% satisfied and that all of our wishlist addressed! We highly recommend Kolkata Trips and Tirthankar Mukherhjee.

5.00My friend and I had an amazing experience one-day tour of Kolkata. The car was safe and comfortable and the driver was well-experienced. Our tour assistant Mr. Mukherjee was very reliable, knowledgeable, respectful, responsible and kind. For planning the trip, our priorities were considered and everything went according to our prior agreement. It was a fantastic day and I would thoroughly recommend it to others.
