We switch from the national highway 1A at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. From here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder River flowing from the opposite direction. In Pahalgam, check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. 4.00We had booked a package tour for 2 couples for 7 nights. We had a vehicle with us from pickup to drop at the airport. The tour operator was very helpful and did his best to ensure that our trip was smooth and hasslefree. Kashmir is beautiful, summer or winter. Apart from ponywallahs and touts, it was a wonderful experience. Why go abroad instead of visiting our beautiful places and helping our fellowcountrymen?
