  We went on a private whale tour with Morea Moana & it was sooo worth it!! Such an incredible day spent with these beautiful animals. The private tour meant that with only us & the Moreea Moana team we could have such a clear view of the whale (with a big group I feel like this might be less so!). Oneil and Keanu were so knowledgeable and knew exactly where we would find the whales and treated them with respect which was a big priority for us and was the main reason we chose this company. the photo package is worth every penny! It meant we were able to be really present, not trying to take photos ourselves and the memories will last forever!

  I initially reached out to Moorea-Moana Tours to book a private tour during my stay in Moorea, but they were fully booked for my dates. Instead of turning me away, they went above and beyond to arrange an unforgettable exexperience from Tahiti including hotel pickup and a seamless round-trip ferry transfer from Moorea. I was truly impressed by the effort and care they took to make this happen. From start to finish, everything ran like clockwork. Upon arrival, I was paired with my photographer, Sophia, who was not only phenomenal behind the lens but also incredibly knowledgeable and kind. My guide, Keanu, and our captain (whose name unfortunately escapes me) were equally fantastic—professional, warm, and passionate about what they do. Keanu was attentive in every moment, guiding me into the best positions for truly stunning shots, while also ensuring the wildlife was respected at all times. But the real magic happened in the water. We spent the morning in calm seas under a clear sky with a gentle sun, swimming with a mother humpback whale and her 3-week-old calf. Words genuinely fall short of capturing how intimate and awe-inspiring this experience was. The mother stayed nearby, calm and welcoming, while her curious calf frolicked around us—darting, twirling, and engaging before returning to its mother over and over. It was a deeply emotional and humbling encounter, one I will carry with me forever. Moorea-Moana Tours created not just a tour, but a memory of a lifetime. If you're lucky enough to be in Tahiti or Moorea during whale season, don't think twice—book with them.

  We had an unforgettable whale watching experience with Moorea Moana Tours. The team was great – a special thanks to Mareva who shared her knowledge with us and made us feel safe at all times. Captain Robert steered the boat directly to the whales, and we were able to go into the water three times to experience them up close – just incredible! Also present was photographer Sofia Viegas, who captured the magic of the day in breathtaking images. Thank you, Sofia! The whole team was warm, professional and made the tour very special. We can absolutely recommend Moorea Moana Tours – and if you want unforgettable photos, you should definitely book Sofia.

  Morning, and Yoo introduced us to all the underwater fauna of Moria. Dolphin, turtle, ray, shark, and many others, fish, splendid. Welcoming our two great guides was amazing and the explanations perfect. They know their island perfectly well. Special mention to Snorkling by letting itself be carried by the current to observe turtles in the background. We also had the chance to sail out of the lagoon, with long-billed dolphins at our side that took us offshore. The little Plus, the little punch and the fruit on board was excellent. Thanks again to our two great guides, probably the best excursion since our arrival in Polynesia.

  A fantastic experience all around! Thank you, Pierrick, Sophia, and Captain Iotua. My wife and I were fortunate to book the tour based on all the amazing reviews and selected the option with the Pelagic Ocean tour. We didn’t really know what that meant at the time but it ended up being one of the most amazing days of my life. We started by swimming with stingrays and black tips. The rays were like giant Labrador puppies climbing all over us with smiles on their faces. Sophia was snapping photos on her awesome underwater camera while Pierrick educated us on the sea life. Then we went to a nearby location to swim with the turtles and the eagle rays. Sophia had my wife and I free dive down to them while Captain Iotua protected us from other nearby boats above our heads. We then motored off to another part of the island and the outer edge of the lagoon. In this area there were a ton of surfers riding the waves and spear fisherman hunting their dinners. Pierrick explained that this area had a lot of the local grey sharks. So we hopped in and Pierrick attracted them to us by crunching a plastic bottle in his hand. The grey sharks were really beautiful but were more interested in the spear fisherman than us. So we packed up and motored off 5 miles out to sea. Stage 4 of our adventure was by far the most intense and awesome part of the day. Way out to sea we came to a buoy which attracts a lot of large tuna and other fish. Including oceanic white tips. Pierrick and Sophia explained that these sharks can be dangerous (Google USS Indianapolis for more on that) and that we had a number of rules that needed to be followed to stay safe together. They both then hopped in the water to make sure that the sharks were not in a bad mood that day. We followed shortly after that and then had a thrilling time as seven oceanic white tips circled and came up to us. Pierrick and Sophia kept them at a safe distance as we watched them in awe. After about 10-15 minutes that felt like hours, we got back on the boat and headed back into the lagoon. We then went snorkeling one more time with black tips and a few rays. By this time we had lost any fear of these beautiful animals. Thank you the amazing team for providing this incredible experience to my wife and me. When we return we will definitely book this tour again and will enjoy following them from afar via Instagram.   Great vibes, amazing marine life & a fun crew! Mara, Robert amd the rest of the team were very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and generous! This was the first activity of our honeymoon on Moorea and the bar has been set very high! Swimming with the black tip sharks and rays was an unforgettable experience that we would recommend to anyone! Swimming in the channel with sea turtles was amazing & chilling in the sand bar under the afternoon sun was a fantastic way to relax.

  It was absolutely amazing. A lot of time was taken, we were even allowed to swim with dolphins or with dolphins. It was an absolute dream!!!

  Great encounters with whales. Captain Chewy and guide Mareva with photographer Louise gave us such a great experience and are all so knowledgeable
