Escape the ordinary, just 8 miles from the French Quarter! Relax and leave your cares behind while you explore the lake side of New Orleans on a private 2 hour sail. Hop aboard a 47' luxury Beneteau sailboat called "Roux Stir", named for our love of a heartwarming New Orleans gumbo. Maximum 6 guests please.
Once onboard, all guests receive complimentary white wine, local craft beer, and light snacks. Listen to the boat glide through the water or enjoy your favorite tunes via Spotify.
Enjoy a 2 hour invigorating sail on the Southshore of historic and expansive Lake Pontchartrain, where you may spot a brown pelican flying overhead, and see the longest bridge in the world over water, the Causeway.
Captain Doug, a local New Orleanian with a passion for sailing, will ensure your safety. All proper safety equipment, life vests, and clean restrooms onboard.
A MINIMUM OF 2 TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ORDER TO GO OUT.

Be our guest aboard our very stable and luxurious 47' Beneteau sailboat. Relax with a glass of white wine or local craft beer and be treated like royalty while you sail on the protected waters of Lake Pontchartrain. Your captain is local New Orleanian, Captain Doug, and he has over 35 years of sailing and sailboat racing experience. Doug is a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain who loves sharing his passion of sailing with you.

5.00My wife and I had such a wonderful time. It was great to be picked up by a Yacht. Capt Doug was so friendly and made sure we were all comfortable and having a good time. It was so much fun to be out on the water watching the beautiful sun over the water. Absolutely loved it and will book again when back in town. Robert

5.00This excursion is must do if you're visiting New Orleans. We managed to even recommend this sailing to some locals who hadn't known about it. Captain Doug is simply the best as a sailor, historian and host. I surprised my female companion with this sailingand racked up the points:-) This was an awesome experience and we'll definitely be repeat customers!

5.00Capt Doug and First Mate Mimi made this an experience we will never forget. We did the 2 hour sunset cruise. We were picked up right on time at the Blue Crab restaurant. Capt Doug gave us a 10 min safety talk and Mimi provided drinks and snacks. The two hours went by so fast but the views were breathtaking as the sun set. I would definitely recommend everyone doing this at least once. It’s worth the money!

5.00Captain Doug and First Mate Margaret were waiting for us when we arrived with beautiful smiles. They were very courteous and saw to our every need. They were also very knowledgeable about the area and area history. We were served snacks and many choices of drinks including wine and soft drinks. The trip was very enjoyable made even better by the dedication and strive for excellence by the crew. This is a trip we loved so much we plan to do it again.
