As some of the most experienced guides, the guides analyze weather predictions prior to every tour and have close contact with a network of guides for the highest chances to see the Northern Lights. The comfortable vehicle is fully equipped with everything you may need in the arctic, allowing the group to discover remote scenery, reaching the more calm and peaceful places. Pick up is at a central location in Tromsø, allowing more time for finding, and seeing the Aurora earlier! With no two nights the same, our enthusiasm and dedication never fades.
Upon reaching suitable skies, we will set up camp for the evening. Most of the time this is a shorter drive to the surrounding coastal islands of Tromsø, or if needed a longer drive into Finland.

5.00Witnessing the Aurora Borealis with my sisters is something I’ll treasure forever. We went out three times with Northern Soul Adventures and somehow we were lucky enough to see the lights every single night!! Each evening felt magical in its own way. Witnessing the aurora felt unreal, truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guides — Samuel, Bogdan, and Frederico were all amazing. They were knowledgeable, passionate, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the trips. Each of them added something special to the experience, and their enthusiasm made the nights even more memorable. I have to give a special shout-out to Samuel, though. He was incredibly kind, patient, and thoughtful, always taking the time to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying every moment. Especially since the weather wasn’t the best on our night with him. It was rainy and cloudy but his warm attitude made all the difference! Truly a once in a lifetime experience - this was the best tour we took in tromso!

5.00My family joined the private tour for "A JOURNEY IN SEARCH OF THE NORTHERN LIGHTS" with Bogdan as our guide and photographer. Though Bogdan isn’t a native Norwegian but he was well experienced and has all the tools and knowledge in helping us realise our ‘Aurora borealis dream’. He was determined and well on track and we managed to chase the large cloud opening in the 3rd hour of our tour with a dramatic display of magical colours. We are indeed grateful to Bogdan that we have a solid success on our 1st chase. I would certainly recommend families to opt for the private tour, to give you the ultimate experience.

5.00We had a super friendly, amazing and knowledgeable tour guide in Federico. He had a well planned trip for us. Took us to a stunning locale (Fjord) to witness the spectacular show that the sky put up for us! He took amazing pictures & also provided tips on camera settings to capture the spectacle. He alap explained the solar activity in detail, so that we understand how one can accurately predict the possibility of an aurora forming. The lovely bonfire he set up accompanied with the hot chocolate, cookies, the warm tomato soup was soul nourishing and just what we needed for the action packed night. Thank you Federico for making our Northern Lights Tour Special & an unforgettable experience!

5.00Justyna took us all the way to Finland to see the lights - we were there for about 2 hours before we had to head back & we saw a spectacular display over a frozen lake. Excellent spot with no light pollution. We’re not great photographers but this would have been a fantastic opportunity to get the tripod out and catch the Milky Way as well.

Incredible experience with the Northern Lights

5.00We booked this private tour as a family and were picked up by Argentine photographer Federico (Fede) as a tour guide. We started south from Tromsø to find the right place for the Northern Lights in the starry night. On the 2.5-hour drive to the final destination in Dividalen, we received a lot of interesting information about the formation of the Northern Lights. We didn’t have to wait long before we were lucky enough to see the fantastic Northern Lights live: an absolutely unique experience! Fede explained how to adjust the cameras and take incredible photos with them. At -13°C we sat around the cozy fire lit by Fede while he served us a delicious tomato soup and warm drinks. On the way back to Tromsø we even stopped for more Northern Lights. It was absolutely fantastic and we can highly recommend booking this tour!!! A day later, we even received the photos Fede had taken with his professional camera.
This is the one! Book this trip - you will be so happy you did!

5.00My goodness! This experience/tour company/our guide Fede was absolutely top notch. I can’t recommend them highly enough. The communication was clear and prompt. Fede was on time, communicative and super friendly. He clearly outlined the plan for the evening. We got to our spot and he showed us all of the data they used to predict the northern lights and man were we at the right spot at the right time. Fede built a fire - gave us delicious soup and hot chocolate with cookies. We had everything we needed. When the lights began, Fede had a professional camera/tripod and took the most stunning pictures (and emailed them to me the next day). Unfortunately my husband slipped on the ice and cut himself pretty bad, but Fede had a great first aid kit. When we were ready to leave, Fede drove us to the emergency room so hubby could get stitched up (all good he’s a trooper). We said our goodbyes and planned on taking an uber home, but FEDE STAYED TO DRIVE US HOME!! Unbelievable hospitality and care. Book this excursion - you will be so happy you did. 10 STARS

5.00This was definitely a life changing experience!! We saw a fantastic show of the northern lights in a 360 degree long lasting show of colors and dancing! We were blessed that Michael put us in the right place at the right time! The candor and knowledge Michael provided were icing on the cake!

5.00Our private tour with Northern Soul Adventures? 10/10, would chase to Finland again! Michal, our guide and Arctic guru, somehow found clear skies and aurora magic—even if it meant driving us all the way to another country! 😆 Michal didn’t just point and shoot; he shared his aurora wisdom, taught us the tricks of photographing the lights, and took stellar photos of us so we could just enjoy the show. Add a bonfire and some hot soup, and suddenly Arctic temperatures felt a whole lot friendlier. For an epic, cozy night with the Northern Lights, look no further than Northern Soul Adventures. Michal, thanks for making us feel like aurora experts (and for the best photos ever)! 🌌

1.00This trip was terrible. The guide couldn’t drive and I’m surprised that we didn’t crash. The guide even told wrong information about Norway.
