Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid, one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in India, stands as a testament to Mughal architectural grandeur in the heart of Old Delhi. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1650 and completed in 1656, this iconic structure features red sandstone and white marble, showcasing intricate carvings and calligraphy. With its vast courtyard capable of accommodating over 25,000 worshippers, three imposing domes, and two towering minarets, the mosque exudes a sense of spiritual and architectural majesty. Humayun's Tomb
Humayun’s Tomb in New Delhi is a magnificent example of Mughal architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in 1570 by Empress Bega Begum in memory of her husband, Emperor Humayun, the tomb is often considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal. Designed by Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, it features a grand red sandstone structure with white marble domes, set within a Persian-style Charbagh (four-part) garden. The tomb complex also houses several other Mughal-era monuments, including the tombs of Isa Khan and Barber’s Tomb.
