Private day trip of locations featured in the ‘Outlander’ TV series. Depart from Edinburgh and follow in the footsteps of the Jamie and Claire as you visit the locations used for Lallybroch (Midhope Castle and other locations), Crainsmuir (Culross in seasons 1,2 & 4), the infamous Fort William (Blackness Castle) and, Inverness (Falkland in seasons 1,2 & 4) and much more. There is an amount of flexibility so if you have any special requests please ask in advance and we will try to accommodate them.

Midhope Castle
Lallybroch here we come! This is subject to availability. It does close for filming, and estate business. Access in the winter is also restricted.
Blackness Castle
Blackness was used as Fort William in Seasons 1 & 2. It has also recently been used for the Mary Queen of Scots Movie and Outlaw King.

5.00Sam and Steve, our hosts, provided an unforgettable Outlander Experience. They are extremely knowledgeable about the series, the cast and the locations used in Outlander. My favorite set was Midhope Castle, Lallybroch. I also loved Culross, the location used for many of the sets in Outlander, including Crainsmuir, Geillis's home, the herb gardens at Leoch, Laoghoire's home and others. Linlithgow, which was one of 4 locations for Wentworth Prison was fascinating. The abby set, the Duke's kitchen where he was beheaded, all were fascinating to see. The whole trip was wonderful. Even my husband, who has never watched the series, was very interested in the places visit on this tour. Thank you Sam and Steve.
Our guide was informative and entertaining. He went above and beyond what we expected during an engaging tour.

5.00Steve was exceptional so full of knowledge on all aspects of the Tour. You can tell Steve loves what he does and his knowledge of Outlander outstanding. Bravo Steve and many thanks for a truly unforgettable Day. We will be back for sure

5.00This was a tour of a lifetime! To see the filming places of our favorite spots from the outlander TV show, buy an outstanding Tour Guide , Steve , made the experience so much better. He even provided some photos to share from the filming, end of the show itself to bring it all to life as we are seeing it !!! Fantastic!!

5.00Steven was an excellent tour guide. My daughter and I did the private tour. He was very knowledgeable about the locations and Outlander filming. The tour was not rushed and Steven was very patient with mobility challenges touring the castles. I highly recommend!!

5.00We couldn’t have been happier with our tour! Steve was quite knowledgeable and added many personal stories and experiences throughout the day which added to our enjoyment. We were picked up and dropped off at our place of lodging -so convenient! Adequate time was provided at each stop and we never felt rushed even though we saw so many different sites. We definitely recommend using this tour company, and be sure to ask for Steve!

5.00We three spent the day with Steve, our guide, who was fantastic, very knowledgeable, full of amusing anecdotes, and all together extremely pleasant. He was very patient and accommodating to my mother who is blind, and managed to bring the visual aspects of the tour alive for her. We would highly recommend this day trip for those who want a more personal, inclusive tour. Not only did we learn and see a tonne about Outlander, get to see incredible behind-the-scenes photos from Steve's personal collection on his iPad, but we also learned a great deal about Edinburgh's history and fun tidbits (i.e. JK Rowling!)

5.00Really enjoyed the tour. It was just the right number of sites to visit in one day. The guide was very informative and enjoyable companion for the day. I had the opportunity for lots of pictures too. All in all a wonderful day😀

5.00Jamie and Claire's love for Jamie's family home makes your heart open when you suddenly see it. Even if you come there for the second time with the Outlander daytrip you will experience this feeling again. Walking back along the driveway on your right you will see a structure. This was a place to keep pigeons. They were eaten a lot at that time.
