The most memorable was the fact that we never made it there. We were staying in Sophia and tour was in Plovdiv city 1.5 hours away . I read headline “ Private Plovdiv Trip from Sophia “ The tour is a joke. You must be at Plovdiv at 9 am so must wake up at 6 am and pay a taxi € 200 to get there. Meanwhile you pay € 169 for an email with a link to audio. Wow , like you couldnt find the same on internet for free. The tour company finally called me back after trying viator and tour company 5 days before only after the cxl period was up. What a coincidence.
Polvdiv is a “must see” experience.

Polvdiv is a true “gem.” From Roman hippodrome and theater to “old town” buildings and “artsy” neighborhood, the guided day trip was a wonderful experience. Nik was a great driver, most pleasant to be with. A wealth of knowledge and information, Nik’s english was outstanding. We enjoyed being together and I gained more knowledge than I had thought possible. I highly recommend the day trip to Plovdiv with Nik.

Enjoyed plovdiv and the extra stop at Assen’s fortress. At the same time learned so much more About the country Bulgaria due to our fascinating storytelling guide who gave us some more information about the country. All that made it much more vivid; never a dull moment!
