The Red Patrol Communist Tour of Bucharest is the out of the box private tour of Bucharest that sends you back in time by driving a fully restored Romanian classic car from the 70′-80’s!
A private tour of Bucharest by car of 3.5-4 hours that crosses the city landmarks like The Palace of Parliament (Casa Poporului), The Revolution Square, Victoria Socialismului Boulevard, (The Champs-Élysées of Ceausescu), the Romanian Communist Party Headquarter, Casa Presei or the Private Residence of Nicolae Ceaușescu.
You will discover in a 30 km city circuit the fancy boulevards of Bucharest while driving by yourself (or with a private driver) a fully restored Romanian Dacia 1300/1310 from the 70’s-80’s.
A drive and stop tour with a Romanian vintage car on a city panoramic itinerary where you’ll get the best photo shots of your travel and hear the most amazing life stories of the locals from the last 100 years!

Dacia 1300/1310 is a 70- 80’s classics car that do not include AC, ABS,GPS navigation servo-direction or automatic gear drive.
All the cars provided by The Red Patrol are fully restored classics that meet fully the safety traffic regulations.
Take with in the day of the tour a comfortable outfit for driving.
The Red Patrol Tour of Duty provides quality and safe conditions tours with fully restored vehicles and we do not allow the participation with pets or children under 10 years old.
During wintertime our cars are heated !

Todays tour was a sucsess- 18 Norwegian car salesmen driving around the town in super-cool Dacias. You should not hesitate, but book Serban and his team for an amaxzing and unique experience. 5.00We booked this activity for a bachelor party. Had an amazing time, with a great guide, beautiful scenery and of course awesome cars. A nice way to explore the city in a slight different way then you normally would. Great stories and nice sight seeing. Would recommend to try it out!

5.00Very informative,indept research done .Serban is Proud of his Dacia.He had to improvise his tour without problems Delivered us promptly at the Opera house for an evening performance. As an extra bonus we got to meet his friends at the vintage club who had a demonstration at the time 2 is a comfortable number in the car Maby a cushion at the backseat would be useful?

5.00I always wanted to drive an old Dacia, so my girlfriend surprised me with this tour. The car was really well maintained and really fun to drive, being eye-catching at every moment and getting everyone's attention. However the tour itself really exceeded our expectations. We lived in Bucharest for 13 years and we thought we know a few things about the city, but we were surprised to be wrong. Our guide Mihai was wery knowledgeable and told us so many stories and new information about the city, its history and about the car. The whole experience felt like spending the afternoon with a friend. I would recommend this to anyone, tourist or local, regardless of age. Thank you for the passion that you guys are putting into this, that's what makes it an amazing experience!

5.00We only have three days in Bucharest and have lots of plans - including a wish to get a credible walk down Romanian/Bucharest history. We wondered if this is possible with so little time. It is :) This is exactly what we got with TheRedPatrol - and on top of that the guide’s stories were personal, authentic and told with passion and engagement. Loved every second and even our teenager, that is not to interested in history, thought it was worth it :)

5.00I would recommend this experience not only to old car enthusiasts, but to anyone who would like to travel back in time. The cars are great and they are like a time capsule that take you to a time when people's lives unfolded at a different pace. the experience is completed by interesting stories. I, born in Bucharest, found out things I didn't know.

5.00We really enjoyed our car tour of Bucharest in a vintage Dacia car with Serban. He was very knowledgeable about the city and it's history. We got out the car at various stops during the tour to learn about specific areas/monuments of the city and found the city's history really fascinating. Would really recommend this tour, especially if you enjoy history!

5.00I need six stars! Serban and Ivan led us through Bucharest with the passion that only those who lived under Ceausescu can muster. Take a good overview of Romanian modern history, modern monarchy, nazi and soviet impacts and the Ceausescu years, all painted on a canvas driven by a small fleet of the wonderful vehicles that Romania brought to the world. We had a chance to drive these classic cars in Bucharest traffic while talking on Romania’s recent history - personal tales, delivered with first hand experience. If you have an interest in motoring history whilst in Bucharest, this is a must. If you don’t car about cars and love learning about history by those who lived it, dont miss this tour. Thank you so much Serban and Ivan from your new Aussie friends.

5.00A great experience with my friends driving a Dacia 1300, 54 HP with my friends and our guide, Crinu. We saw the most important landmarks of Bucharest and talked about them, the car's technical details and a bit of history. For me, this specific part of history and technology is a great area of interest and the tour was perfect for this hobby. We are glad we met with Crinu and had such a great day. Adrian Radulescu
