5.00Fantastic Tour! Derek is so passionate and knowledgeable about Ireland and his enthusiasm is contagious. The Ring of Kerry is absolutely stunning. We had an amazing day. Derek is so kind and professional and just easy to be around. We loved our tour and highly recommend!!

5.00My wife and I booked this tour with the hope that we would experience the sights, sounds and peoples associated with the Ring of Kerry in a way that would bring this beautiful corner of Ireland to life in a personal way. Thanks to our guide Derek, our hopes were far exceeded. As expected for a private tour of this type, Derek comported himself with the highest level of professionalism and organizational excellence throughout the day. His attention to detail and customer focus are superb. He is an excellent communicator, giving us what can best be described a master class in the art of professional guiding, sharing his passion for and love of Ireland and the lands of Kerry through which we traveled. His knowledge of the history, towns and people along the way was excellent, but where he was most in his element were those moments where he connected us to individuals whenever possible, some of whom he personally knew, others that he was pleased to meet for the very first time. He shared with us his view that one can only truly know a place by interacting with its people. He also brought us to many unexpected and beautiful sights along the way which lay hidden off the well traveled paths, and was generous & patient in the time he spent answering our many questions. Finally, Derek’s use of music and lyrics to both complement our visual experience and to communicate some of the depth & breadth of the Irish experience was poignant and powerful. He’s clearly been gifted with a poet’s heart. We simply loved this tour and give it, along with Derek, our very highest recommendation.
