Minneriya National Park

Minneriya National Park serves as a dry season feeding ground for elephants from the forests of Matale, Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee districts. It hosts a diverse range of fauna, including 24 mammal species, 160 bird species, 9 amphibian species, 25 reptile species, 26 fish species, and 75 butterfly species. The park is renowned for the world’s largest concentration of wild Asian elephants. Along with Kaudulla and Girithale, Minneriya is one of Sri Lanka’s Important Bird Areas

We had the most incredible day and saw many elephants - lone bull elephants as well as herds of females of various ages including a mother & newborn! Our driver Madusha (Sanju) was very respectful towards the elephants and also knowledgeable, we learnt a lot about the elephants and other wildlife.
It was so much fun. You can trust them.

We contacted them in advance and asked them to organize two different tours that allowed them to join the Village Safari and Jeep Safari in one day. Even if it was a small question, I could trust you quickly if I emailed you. He was punctual, a very gentlemanly and gentle guide and driver. It was fun to move around talking about various things because I was traveling alone. As a guide, he had a very good eye and was very good at spotting animals while driving. Each time they pulled over and took care to take pictures. At first we were planning to go to Mineria National Park, but the rain caused the water to rise, so we changed to Kadurah National Park. Thanks to their resourcefulness, I was able to meet many elephants. It was great.

We had an amazing experience. Our driver Madushe was fantastic – friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we got the best views. We saw so many elephants, including a herd of 18 with a baby elephant – absolutely unforgettable! Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area.

The trip was amazing! Our driver Madusha was super nice and told us so much about the wild life, and especially about the elephants, in Sri Lanka. We had the best time and would recommend it a 100%.

Everything was perfect. Pick up and drop off at the hotel. All the time you need during the safari. Elephants, birds, nature. All you can wish for. 10/10, highly recommended.

Madusha gave us an unforgettable experience in a private Jeep Safari. He arrived at our hotel to pick us up and was so kind to stop off and buy us some water on the way to the safari. He has great knowledge about the safari park and the wildlife within it. We saw lot as of elephants in groups and single male elephants and also saw several baby elephants too. The views along the way are breathtaking. We were so impressed with his wildlife spotting skills, we would have passed so much without knowing it was there. On the way back my partner needed a razor for shaving and again he offered to stop at the shop so we could pick up some stuff for shaving. All round wonderful experience and Madusha is a very kind and wholesome person. Thank you 🙏

With Madusha we had a beautiful Safari at EcoPark Hurulu. He is a very prepared, nice and helpful person. We saw many elephants also very close to the jeep, but we also managed to see other animals: peacocks, snake eagle and a small reptile. Absolutely recommended!!
