The Independence Palace
The palace is like a time capsule frozen in 1975. You can see two of the original tanks used in the capture of the palace parked in the grounds. Independence Palace was the home and workplace of the French Governor of Cochin-China. It has lush gardens, secret rooms, antique furniture, and a command bunker. It's still in use to host important occasions in Ho Chi Minh, including APEC summits.

5.00Pre-tour communications were great. On the day our ship did not berth exactly where we thought it would in Chan May Port but our excellent guide, May, and driver Mr Lam dealt easily with this. Whilst two of our party had previously spent time in HCM City, the other two had not so we chose this tour as an introduction to the main sights, it did not disappoint. Our guide, May, and driver, Mr Lam, were great. Our transport was a comfortable air conditioned mini-van with plenty of room for all of us. May was an expert and friendly English speaking guide and she asked us right at the start if there was anything in particular that we wished to do or see. We went with May's suggestions and she did not disappoint. Excellent value and a lot of fun. Thank you.
