During this private three-hour tour I will take you on an adventure to discover the charm of Salvador and its people. Our starting point will be at Castro Alves Square, located at the old main entrace to the Old Town, on the ancient southern edge of the city.

Here we are on the top of the Upper City, where the Portuguese built the first capital of Brazil, similar to an acropolis. From the Municipal Square we will see the Rio Branco Palace, the City Council and the iconic Lacerda Elevator, from where we will enjoy a magnificent view of the bay with its islands, the old financial district and Mercado Modelo, a handicraft market.

I loved it! Super recommend!! A true immersion in the culture and knowledge of this part of Brazil’s history. Salvador is rich and culture. Carlos was wonderful, kind, patient and caring with my group, since we were in family with teenager and a child 8 years TEA. What a nice day!

From the first contact, Carlos was very attentive and proactive to help us in our plan. We were a group of 12 and we wanted to do a hike through the historic center of Salvador, adjusted to two hours. Carlos gave us the necessary directions, throughout the tour he was polite and participatory, and showed at every moment that he knows very well the history of Brazil and Bahia and the places we visited and manages to transmit that knowledge in a very pleasant way.

An very enjoyable tour that I highly recommend. Carlos was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained things in enough detail and in excellent English. He was able to answer all my questions. He even recommended places to buy art and places to eat.

Carlos was very informative, composed, and prepared. My friends and I only speak English and Carlos didn’t miss a beat sharing the history of the area while also taking up to shops and landmarks to meet the locals. He even had food recommendations, which were great!
