The sea kayaking experience is one of the best and most beautiful ways to explore Cascais Bay avoiding crows during high season. We will adapt it to your level and we will make your experience SAFE, FUN and UNIQUE.

* This activity is safe if you don´t know how to swim.

The total duration of the activity is around 1h30. Once at the beach, we will go through some basic theory (safe kayaking, paddling technique and posture on the kayak). After, we will launch our kayaks and paddle away from shore. The ever-present guide will be there to assist you with anything you might need and to control and comment on your performance. WHAT TO BRING: Swimming suit, towel, hat/cap, sun protector, water and comfortable clothes (water shoes or flip flop with straps if you have them). The instructor will carry a waterproof bag to store your mobile phone, cameras, water, wallet... We provide sit on top kayak + paddle + lifejacket + wetsuit (if needed). USUAL ITINERARIES (Subject to participant´s physical conditions and sea and wind conditions): - FROM PISCINA OCEÂNICA TO FAROL DE SANTA MARTA - Departure from Praia Alberto Romano - Praia da Ribeira - Cascais Marina - Praia de Santa Marta - Back to Praia da Duquesa.

This was an awesome tour. We were pretty tired out from jet lag and he customized the tour for us for our tiredness. Highly recommend. We’re planning on moving to Cascais from the states and will ask him again to go out on tours when family is visiting.

My son went on a summer camp with Joao and for 5 days they did everything an 8 year old boy loves. Surfing, kayaking, cliff jumping, rock climbing and much more. My son had a fantastic week. He learned a lot and each day he came come very enthusiastic. I highly recommend this experience.

We were 3 , 2 of us doing kayak for the very first time . It was an incredible kayak tour with Cascais Roots , leading by Joao Gama. There’s no better program to know and enjoy Cascais coast than this. The land escapes , the sun, The Sea , the feeling of freedom and the happiness in the heart will remain forever ! 308/5000 Great experience with Cascaisrouts, João is the person who knows how to push you if you have a more sportive spirit and at the same time a person who knows how to be calm in dealing with people who cannot not feel comfortable outside their natural environments but who want to have a different experience. Very nice day, definitely an experience to repeat.

I went with a friend on Saturday 14th March on the most amazing Kayak trip from Cascais bay to Casa da Guia and back! Considering it was the start of talks regarding Carona Virus lock Downs, Joao wasn't sure if we were allowed to go, but made the effort to speak to the local authorities to confirm the go ahead. It was a beautiful hot day and knowing we were experienced kayakers, took us to all the secret sports where we were able to catch some waves and just have fun! We took our time going to Casa da Guia, hugging the cliffs, and being told of all the amazing places where Cascais Routes also take rock climbers ... Ive been in Portugal for such a long time but NEVER knew these places existed! Joao is so well informed and just such a great guide! Thank you for the most amazing afternoon out! so looking forward to going again soon and definitely will spend much more time out on the kayak! I would recommend this trip to ANYONE that loves being out on the water and just have an epic time exploring new places while getting a great work out ;)

It was such a beautiful way to spend the day out in the water. João is an amazing guide, very nice, and always making sure you are ok. We got to see a whole new side of Cascais, going past the marina and exploring Boca de Inferno as well as other spots. Highly recommend for families and groups of friends! Good way to catch some sun and get fit:)

Fantastic experience kayaking for the first time with Cascais Routes. The instructor tailored our adventure to the skill level of our group and took us along the beach for some beautiful views. With the wet suits, it was still very pleasant in late October.

I have used a number of kayaking companies around Portugal and I would highly recommend Cascais Routes. Joao and the other tour leaders are friendly and easy to deal with. The route up the Boca do inferno is beautiful and suitable for all levels of experience. I loved every trip and would definitely use them again!
