Upon arrival you will be greeted by your local professional driver at the airport with a welcome sign, enjoy a comfortable ride to the city. After meeting the guide, spend few mins to discuss and tailor-made your tour. Following is the recommended itinerary, if you have any requests please feel free to tell your guide and will make adjust for you. First, take a walk along the historic Bund area to enjoy the splendid view of old and new Shanghai along the Huangpu River while learning about its colonial history.
Yu Garden
Next, head to the famous Shanghai Old town and Yu Garden bazaar area, where a large number of street vendors and markets sell just about everything: tea, antiques, Chinese seals, souvenirs, toys, Christmas decorations, everyday items, and random weirdness. Pass by the 200-year-old Hu Xin Ting Tea House while walking on the lucky nice zigzag bridge and pay a visit to 5-century old classic Yu Garden, take in the charming view of old and traditional Qing-Dynasty architecture, pavilions, fish and turtle ponds

Great tour to take if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong

5.00This tour is designed to for layovers at the Shanghai Pudong airport. But was also convenient if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong that is connected to the airport. It was one of the only tours that included pickup and drop off to the airport area. Our tour guide was Feifei and she did a wonderful job. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and took us to see many interesting places. The vehicle was very comfortable and the driver did a great job of dropping us off at convenient places. We started our tour visiting the Jade Buddha Temple and learned a lot about the Buddhist religion. It was interesting to learn about the customs and we happened to be there during the Qingming Festival. Where they honor those family members that have passed away, by burning bags of "joss paper" (spirit money). Believing that their relatives would receive the money they burned. Then walked around "The Bund" area near the Huangpu River. We took beautiful pictures of the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower that were on the other side of the river. Later we crossed the river and spent time walking around on the ring-bridge near the TV tower in the financial district. And took more up close of the skyline. Also visited the French Concession area, which had western style restaurants. This is where we took time to eat lunch at a nice reasonably priced restaurant. Overall I highly recommend taking this tour and feel that you will find it well worth your time and money!

5.00Robert LOU did a fantastic job guiding me in Shanghai. Robert explains things well and guides with ease making things pleasant while fitting in a lot in a short time. Booking was straightforward and Sunny tours confirmed my details right away. I had a separate driver and guide, Robert. I was picked up at my hotel and my luggage was secure in high end vehicle and the driver was excellent. Robert took me to the French concession and silk museum then we walked the Bund and visited old town and shops to look interesting things. I had a great dumpling Sampler lunch then went up the Shanghai tower. (Additional fee for tower, all costs were transparent). Then we checked out the new part of the Shanghai museum with its cool architecture and ceramics. I was dropped off at the airport right on time. You can tailor make your tour to your preferences. The seat of the vehicle I was in even gave me a massage on the way to the airport! As an older female traveling on my own I was very pleased to have booked this tour!

5.00Such a fantastic tour and a great way to spend your time in Shanghai when you have a long layover. We had more than 15 hours layover in Shanghai and arrived in the morning and left again in the late evening so we were looking for an opportunity to see some highlights of the city. Sunny was always available, first via email then also via WhatsApp and WeChat and so we booked our tour. We were picked up by a luxury van and could take all of our carry on luggage with us, so we didn’t have to search a storage locker at the airport. We picked up our great tourguide, Emma, in the city. She showed us many different places during our 9 hour tour and we got a great glimpse into the highlights of the city. Would recommmend this to everyone with a long layover. Thanks Sunny and Emma for making the best out of our layover.

5.00I would really recommend this tour! We were met at the airport right on schedule by our driver and he drove us into Shanghai where we met our brilliant guide Ling - Ling had lots of ideas on how we could spend our day in the city and chatted with us to see what kind of sights/ experiences we wanted. She was super helpful and a really warm personality - we really enjoyed spending the day with her! We fitted lots into the day (Jade Buddha temple, Shanghai Tower, old town near Yu Garden, got to try yummy food and then see the famous skyline at the river - thanks Ling!

5.00Shanghai is a fascinating city and definitely worth a visit. If you have a stay of several hours at PVG Airport, you should not miss the opportunity and book a guided tour of the city. Sunny Tours has organized everything perfectly in advance and communicated very friendly and professionally. We were picked up at the airport on time at the agreed meeting point by a driver with a luxury electric limousine that was available to us for the entire day. Our guide Sarah speaks excellent German and has an extensive knowledge of the history, culture, religions and modern city of Shanghai, which she shared with us in a very entertaining way. Sarah responded to our wishes, found great photo motifs for us and asked about our preferences for a lunch for which she chose a traditional restaurant that offered super delicious food at a fabulously reasonable price. The day was beautiful and felt not like an organized city tour, but like a day in Shanghai with a friend who showed us her favorite places and shared everything she knows about them with us. The hours passed like in flight and we were again driven wonderfully comfortably to the airport in the evening, from where we could board our flight home. This trip was a real highlight after a four-week holiday to New Zealand and so much more than just a layover. We are glad and grateful that we chose Shanghai with Sarah and Sunny Tours. Thanks for that! ❤️

5.00I had an absolutely fantastic experience in Shanghai thanks to Robert! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. He is incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts and stories that really brought each location to life. I was very happy with all the places he showed me— every stop was beautiful, well-planned, and worth seeing. Special mention also goes to the driver, who was excellent and made the whole journey smooth and comfortable. Robert truly went above and beyond, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. 5.00It was a well organised trip, with the driver waiting for me at the airport, he dried me to Shanghai in a huge very luxurious car. My tour guide Roy greeted me in town hand ha revised a fantastic tour based on my interest ( history, culture, architecture) driver picking us up and dropping off at every attraction. ( my hand luggage safely in the back of car during the whole tour). Highly recommend the tour flexible interesting, tailored to my needs with a very knowledgeable, friendly guide.
