This tour will take you to 3 most popular spots around Shimizu. 1, Nihondaira Plateau (Green tea field and Mt. Fuji view at Nihondaira Ocha Kaikan, Nihondaira Yume Terrace Observatory, Spectacular view from Nihondaira ropeway) 2, Kunozan Toshogu Shrine a brilliant national treasure shrine. This beautiful shrine is for giving worship to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo period. 3, Miho Beach (Miho Pine Tree Grove) a part of Mt. Fuji World Heritage, Miho no Matsugara Culture & Creativity Center).
We can accommodate a maximum of 15 travelers per tour.
Regarding to the starting time, we recommend you to start earlier as possible to reduce the risk to line up for the ropeway.
Note: If you have wheelchairs or strollers, please let us know the number and its size.
Due to the limited number of guides, we accept a maximum of 10 group bookings per day (one booking per group).

This ropeway connects Nihondaira and Kunozan Toshogu Shrine in 5 minutes. We use round trip ropeway. Please enjoy beautiful view of Suruga Bay. (waiting time and riding time for round trip : about 20 minutes.)

5.00Highly recommend this company! From the moment I reached out to inquire about a tour, Hirokane was incredibly responsive and helpful. He took the time to suggest an itinerary that fit our interests perfectly, while also accommodating our elderly family members. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent. Everything was clearly explained, from pricing and payment to meeting points and timing. It was all very well organized, which made the experience completely stress-free. We were traveling on Ovation of the Seas, and the pickup/meet-up process couldn’t have been smoother or more convenient. On top of that, the value was outstanding. We booked a 20-person bus, which was very comfortable for our group, and the cost per person was about one-third of what Royal Caribbean was charging. Overall, a fantastic experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again!

5.00We had a wonderful day with Miyuki, of Local Travel Partners. We were met at the port in a comfortable mini-bus and enjoyed stops at the Miho no Matsubara Pine Tree Grove and beach, Nihondaira Ropeway, Mt Fuji Observatory, Kunozan Toshogu Shrine and a tea plantation. We learned so much about the shogun period and the legends of the area. Miyuki was kind, funny, knowledgeable and most of all, made you feel taken care of. She took terrific photos of our group of 8, which we will always treasure. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00We had a great day with our guide Michiko on the Mount Fuji trip. Michiko made the trip very interesting and ensured that we got some great photos. We had the weather on our side and were thrilled to get various photos of Mount Fuji from various view points. We also saw a beautiful shrine and a tea plantation. Well organised and informative!

5.00What an amazing tour of Shimizu. Our tour guide , Miyuki was perfect. We were a big group, ages ranging from 2 - 86, and she was patient and flexible and was able to show us all of the great sites. Miyuki was also very funny which made the tour super entertaining.

5.00We are a family of 20 in various ages. Our tour with Miyuki was excellent!. The tour was organised exceptionally well. We visited Nihondaira Ropeway, Kunozan Toshogu shrine, Nihondaira Observatory, Ochakaikan Tea Fields, and Miho no Matsubara Beach. 5.00I cannot say enough for the wonderful experience that we had in Shimizu, blessed with the perfect day to view Mount Fuji. Our guide Rie San was excellent. Incredibly welcoming, patient with our large group of 13 and an excellent historian who gave us a lot of background about the shrines, temples, Mount Fuji and culture of her region. Our driver Yukio was top-notch and the tour operator. Hikano was exceptional in communication. Thank you for making this a wonderful tour for our last day of our cruise.!
