Enjoy Silfra snorkeling with a private guide. Silfra Fissure is 2-4 degrees temperature. Choose between a drysuit or a wetsuit for a Viking experience as we spend about 30 - 40 minutes max in the crystal clear water. A wetsuit allows you to to be more flexible and dive under while a drysuit helps keep you warm as you let the light currently slowly take you down the crack between continents.

All participants must know how to swim and be comfortable in water

All participants must be able to communicate in English

Please note that that dry suits can sometimes feel quite tight and constricting, especially around the neck and wrists

Minimum age is 12 years, please reach out regarding younger participants & Participants over the age of 65 need to get a physicians approval.

Be at minimum 150cm (4’9) tall / maximum 200cm (6’7) tall, and be at minimum 50kg (99 lbs) / maximum 120kg (264 lbs)

Don't wear glasses, instead bring contact lenses or your own prescription mask (if you have one)

Recommended to bring a change of clothes (the drysuit has a very small chance of leaking)

We recommend wearing long thermal underwear and thick wool socks a a base layer under the drysuit

All participants heights, weights and age must be provided to local operator. If you do not provide at time of booking, please contact supplier immediately after booking to provide this information

All participants will need to fill out a medical form before participating in the tour. Please find a link to the medical statement on your ticket voucher right after booking the experience to be sure if you qualify.

Please dress according to weather - no heals or jeans

Note: Each guide can assist one group of up to six participants at a time. Up to three different groups can be present during this activity.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling session with Dory, it was a unique experience that we’re glad took part in. Dory explained everything very well, provided gear to size, made sure everyone understood the safety measures, took underwater pictures and made sure everything was in order. 5 stars well deserved, would recommend this experience to everyone.

Great experience. The water is clear which allows us to see the fault. With waterproof suits you have a good time, only the lips and hands are frozen. Dory was great throughout the whole experience.

It was such a great experience!!! I am usually fearful of water but my guide ( Ines!) really out me at ease and I simply enjoyed it all the way through. Great view, the water was super clear and had a lot of fun !

Awesome time and guide was the best. I would highly recommend taking this experience. Water is cold but the hot chocolate at the end is worth it.

Dory was a fantastic guide and served the best hot chocolate, she gave clear instructions and helped each person suit up. It was an amazing experience and I would recommend her as a guide to anyone.

Unforgettable experience, crystal clear glacial waters at 2 degrees centigrade. Doris was fantastic. She helped us don our dry suits to ensure great fit. She explained the equipment well and the simples techniques we might need to clear our masks/snorkells during the snorkel tour of Silfra. We were even fortunate to see an Atlantic Char swimming deep in the fissure. I was worried it might be too cold to complete the 30-40 min tour but I had no problems. Doris took lots of photos and we were amazed they were uploaded the next day. A small and tasty cup of hot chocolate was brought to the changing van once we had doffed our diving suits.
